Installation Problems?Follow

Hey all, this is my first post in the EQII forums, only been in the FFXI forums so far. Well, just got EQII for Christmas today and after taking the hour or so to install it, it says I need a video card with at least 4 texture units. I looked on the internet and found all video cards compatible with EQII, but only found the actual pieces of hardware themselves for sale. Do I actually have to go through all the trouble of buying a $150 video card, cracking open my hard drive, and manually installing it? Or is there an easier alternative like updating the current video card, and if so, where? Any feedback would be appreciated.

If you're video card is more than about a year old, then yes you're going to have to buy a new video card and install it.

But, you don't need to be messin' with your hard drive... All you have to do is open your computer's case, pull the old video card out, and slide the new one in. Then, fire everything up and install the new drivers for the new video card. With a new video card box in hand, you can have the new video card completely installed inside of 10 minutes. Hell, it will take you longer to get the shrink wrap off the box, then it will to actually install the card.
