the assasinFollow

ello yall. so im pumped tommorow at 7:30 in driving to best buy and going in the store when it opens to buy my EQ 2 CE. ive got ym chars name and classes and RP style and everything planned out and i can either go ranger or assasin. so the question is. rangers get cool spells like sow and such or so ive been told. but can someone explain the assasin to me because it sounds kick *** but i want to know it kicks *** from other players before i go down that path. thanks for the comments. keep em comming. and if you see a Dark Elf named Gaunt on D'Lere thats me =) feel free to say hi so i can insult and stab you =D. jk =)

one more thing. i know rangers are good with bows but how bout sassins? are they good with ranged weps too?

rangers are inherintly better with ranged weapons than assassins are just like assassins are better with pure melee than rangers are , its all about what you would like better.. and if you do want to be a dark elf ranger do it , betrayal is cake i have a dark elf swash and i did betrayal in about 10 hours total nothing big

Be an Ogre Ranger... I've seen a Troll Ranger, a Ratonga Ranger, a Iksar Ranger... and about 15 Dark Elf Rangers whose names start with "D" and end in "T". I have not yet seen an Ogre ranger though.

I think it'd be awesome... "Hey der.. u wantz Ogbash Woodfrend ta track dat mob fer u?" ... "Me'z iz gonna stik sum arrew's in ya'z!" ... Just a thought... =)

whats the deal with the start name with D and end with T what that mean

My character is named Hauke,a 28 Ratonga assassin, on Najena server.At this lvl we have 3 specialized ranged attack(Back,Open,and Head) dealing damage in the 100-320 range. The key to it is keep your raanged attack within 50 skill of max,(mines 100 of 140 atm),using a ashwood long bow and carbonite arrows. Skill max raises 5 each lvl too,so shoot when you can and keep close to max.
I based my character from stats from an old rogue/assassin I had playing D&D,years ago. Assassins can deal great damage, in range as well as melee (a 585 atm using shadow Blade skill at lvl 26).Have pulled aggro a couple of times from a 31 warrior. Just turn off auto attack and step back a pace,Hunt, and attack again.

Rangers are fun too,so whatever you choose,play it to the hilt. Good luck in your choice,and have fun.
