StormHold and other "Debt Factories"Follow

#1 Dec 25 2004 at 3:50 AM Rating: Decent
This isn't a rant. I just want to help people making critical mistakes and save all of us some debt.

1. Don't rush it.
Take it one mob at a time if you have to. Stay behind your tank unless you're a scout type. Re-spawns in tight quaters suck.

2. Stay with your party.
Don't wander off. One person getting attacked three rooms away will send the group (at least a tank or healer) into a panic to save the stray member. This will only result in a complete wipe or near wipe. Also, if someone does happen die away from the group, make sure the whole group goes back to get the shard. Chances you'll run into re-spawns or "trained" mobs.

3. Listen to group members who are familiar with the zone.
Sometimes they are bossy a$$holes, but if they seem to know what they are talking about, its your best chance at success. Tough it out, get your exp or your quest, and curse them later.

I hope this helps and I don't seem like one of those "bossy a$$holes".

:)

Stormhold can definately be a death trap.

Sometimes you'll die there. Learn to live with it. Things go bad sometimes and it isn't your fault. When you die or someone in your party dies, just laugh it off and move on. That's the best advice I can give. It's dangerous territory and new territory, which means Murphey will strike doubly hard.

I love it!

I personally think Thundering Steppes is death. Those bastards hit hard and have so much life. Stormhold I think is actually easy to handle if like you said take it slow.

I'm guessing that Stormhold must be the Qeynos equivalent of Fallen gate (or, as we say on the Freeport side, Fallen Xp Bar).

Trains are a given, but they can get really bad because the people that are running from them aggro everything and his cousin along the way to the exit- meaning a train that started out as being 3 or 4 mobs could well become one of ten to fifteen mobs, all being of the "^" or "^^" variety and who may or may not aggro on everyone at the exit.

I like the way Ushtaag thinks. If more people followed those rules we'd have at least a couple less collateral damage deaths in these types of dungrons. Rate up for you my friend.
