Whats the deal with collections? I know you have to complete them, and there are x number per collection, but since they are random, and the randoms seem rare, how do we complete them?
For example if I pick up a shard of some type, it gives me two choices, like scuffed or evocation. Same with butterflies. So between those two items I can have 4 collections. COnsequently, I have 22 collections.
Any hints on completing, or even organizing? Merry CHRISTMAS to all.

If you can buy or make bank boxs (elm ones are pretty easy to make), keep these in your bank to keep quest slots open. You can only have 50 quests up at a time - and believe me - if you start every collection quest this fills up fast.
Check the brokers and buy what you need to finish your collections, provided other players are selling them cheap enough. Hint - sometimes one player is selling the quest's final reward item for HALF the cost that another player is selling the Purple Spotted Butterfly for. Of course finishing hte quest is good for the exp - just don't get ripped off.
In Q Mervos is the guy you give collections to. I forget where he is - just scan this site's quest help-threads. W/ butterflies, once u've got all 4 plain ones, say, u go to him - and he gives u a box of completed plain bfly colletcion. When u get all 3 - u can examine them again and get the final quest to combine all the collections. I think u visit Mervos again, and get a really nice ring. That should get u started. GL
