You already bought eq2 you say? but you are having doubts? Sounds like you should just go play WoW, both are good games. It's just not both are for everyone.

personally i did not like wow much. I bought it and its just too cartoony for me. And its pretty much a solo game. I mean you can group and stuff, but i think its more made for the layed back player who would rather do things alone, and on his own time.

If your more of the type to get into the game and kind of role play it, i suggest eqII its more realistic and has more to do. or if you played ffxi and liked it, you will probably like eqII

This solo crap is lame. WoW has solo game that owns but if you want to get down as a group you get even better stuff killing elite mobs. WoW is really great I played EQ and EQ2 and dropped both without even thinking twice. Even though I am going to miss my toons in EQ and some of the raids. But WoW has the same thing as far as raids go. It isn't just you against the world but you can do that if you like, which pw3ns over EQ since you don't have to get a group to kill mobs and complete quests. Also the con is alot better, elites are just that elites and they should be hard to kill but a regular mob cons your level smoke it cuase you worked hard and what is it saying about your guy if ever mob your level can kill you. Graphics yes are differant but I actually really love them know and like the cartoon feel. But it is up to you but all my friends that were in raiding guilds and starting hardcore in EQ2 went to WoW and we are hooked. We get on and the instance zones rule, always the mob is up and there is no outside crap getting in your groups way. And getting a group is abit harder but that is because everyone is still leveling and moving on to other zones really fast and finding out where all the good gear is. The only downside is.....nothing it is a great game and that is why it is setting so many new precidents in the MMO world. Plus the allaince horde battles are alot of fun when you can go to a alliance town and start killing all the townspeople and vice versa. There are a few bugs in the game but the GM's own. They actually send you messages in game and will respawn bugged quests for you. I had one give me all the gear I needed to turn in when one broke on me, in the ingame mail delivery system. Plus on selling items you don't have to be logged in. Just put it up in the auction house and you can dictate the selling reqs and go do other things or logoff and the mail system will give back the item if not sold and the money if it is. Game play is far better and the graphics are not as pretty but have a nice feel compaired to EQ2. Also custom GUI's own in this game and bliz really supports its players in game but don't break it.

see how a bit of love and punctuation can improve a post?

Try to use paragraphs or people will just ignore the mass of text and move on to the next post.

Seems like because your able to solo in the game that it would be a short game. I mean there are people in EQ at lvl 40 already, just imagine if something like that happend. Seems like eveyone would be top lvl after a while.

I personally prefer EQ2 over WoW.

if you want a game that al the 1337 kiddies have flocked to, and are one of them or like their company, WoW is for you. You'll get them in every forum, putting down EQ2 in every way and crying praises for WoW, puting across points that make no sense about things they couldnt do because they never bothered to read an instruction manual, simple fanboyism.. i havent read one punctuated readale post yet.

If you want to try and avoid those types, and still have fun, EQ2 is for you.

Personally, i love EQ2.. ive never had as fun a time in any MMORPG, just play EQ2 since you have it, and if you have alot of fun, then youve found your game. If you want to try WoW, go ahead, as simple as.

I personally have never played wow so i cannot make an opinon on the games graphics, performance or content.I do know that I will stick with EQ2 though and keep my money going with a team that has A great amount of experience in mmo's.EQ2 is made to run on future hardware so everything should be great for years and years to come.I find it great to solo and group in EQ2.Ive grouped only a few times and pretty much soloed the rest of the way so far to lvl 23.I think the crafting system rocks also.

Safezone Iceblade

i used to play diablo then my bro got me to EQ 1 and i loved that game for 2 years then i quit cus there wasnt ever anything new and i joined the navy and such no time

but i have ben thinking about joining wow and my bro told me he had eq2 and he let me play that and i loved it couldnt stop untill i had to leave. but he told me

" remember diablo ? "
i was like "ya"
"i played wow its basicly diablo with one world
you have as many people in it not 8 and most of it copys eq but with a blizzard twist that makes it easy"
hummm i though a blizzard twist?
so i said " so you can play one charactor all day and get to level 70?",
" basicly, compared to eq yes"

cus on eq theres people who play if you go /q and see time played and find out how old your guy is i bet 50% of the people would be 3 mounths played if there charictor is a year old... thats 6 hours a day you play eq on average i was like that 3 mouths i got 40 days added i was addicted.... but now i go to play diablo and 15 mins and im tweeking eq is good its hard but not 2 hard its addictive its made to get to know the people around you and to interact

in diablo, not that there are *** holes in eq but, in diablo
1 day leveling, most people are ******** cus they think would the "create world" thing youll never see them again, whats with the random drops if i kill some roting corpise i get a SOJ what the ****? But nothing off of diablo but ****, AND ITS ALL THE SAME.

ok if you want to risk spending money on a company that made a rpg like that and made 4 ******* warcraft "build and kill" things yes the first was a good idea think they could find another idea but no they got to make a mmorpg thats origanal.

blizzard is cool im sorry for smashing it all. Its just my experince with blizzard games you souldnt compare eq 2 with wow

EQ 2 has a good predicecer... eq 1 and you know they have skill "if you liked the first" but the maker of wow blizzard has its only real rpg diablo...man what to pick

blizzard has made good games in the past that doesnt mean they all will be. wow mostly looks good is because of all the neat grafical movies and extra

all that was just me BSing

WOW is for the casual player that gets mad if it takes to long to do something, its to hard or if you need peoples help

EQ2 is for the eq lover so sony can have 5 more years of $ also its for some one who wants to become the player because my main i saw as my *****...du

I have both WoW and EQ2. I've been playing EQ2 since launch, and WoW for about a week.

I'm going to continue to give WoW a chance througout the rest of my free month. Then I'm cancelling unless the gameplay really improves substantially.

I can handle the cartoony graphics (at least it's cohesive) and the idiots who troll their forums. What I can't handle is the terrible camera, awful targetting system, and the clumsy combat. It's just not very polished. I seriously think that the people who have been raving about what a "complete" and "finished" game WoW is are recieving kickbacks from Blizzard or something. Because it's neither, and any sane person can see that.

I realize that it appeals to certain people. Just as EQ2 appeals to certain others. I just happen to fall into the latter camp.
