Freeport Guardian QuestFollow

Ok, it starts out at the Freeport Milita HQ. You need to kill a Dervish Messenger in the Yapping Maze (grey to low green to 19). You return to one of the captains in the milita hq and are given the choice between bezerker and guardian. If you pick guardian you're told to head down to the serpent sewers (reached through the thieves way) and protect an informer in a storage room. The trip is apparently not possible for a solo 19 warrior - too many aggroing group greens in the way.

Anyone actually know where the room is? Anyone know what the encounters are? Should I bring a group or am I going the wrong way through the sewers? The Quenos quest suggests there will be an instanced zone where only the warrior can enter - kind of a pain in the butt if I need to drag a group along just to abandon them.

Your help appreciated

Just did this quest, here's the answers you seek.

Go to the Sprawl, there you will find a DIRECT entrance to the serpent's sewers. Upon entering the sewers, all you have to do is keep going left until you reach a door that says "To storage room". Now.. getting there isn't half as tricky as you were told. There was only 1 group of green mobs that me (a 19 warrior at the time) and a wizard (he was 21) took out by ourselves.. NOW! Upon entering the storage room. There is one man standing there.. let him know that this is a trap. When that is said, 1 green mob (Dervish cutthroat) will come through the door you entered. After he dies.. another will come. Eventually they become blue, and they come faster. After about.. 7 dervishes.. you're done. I did this without going below 90% health, and half power. And just a side note, the guy you tell that he's in danger, can be controlled like a pet. Make him attack with you.. the mobs fall faster. Or make him stand there and be safe. Either way, a simple taunt while the mob is heading towards him always gains the aggro. Hope this helps.

Alas my luck apparently continues. I've gotten a map of the Serpent Sewers and made a number of runs on the storage room. On the way I generally hit a 4 green aggro snake group and a 2 one up arrow green aggroing snake group. They are fairly straightforward for a reasonably equipped 19th Warrior. Then I come to the passage with the storage room in it. Guarding the room is a group of four blue Murkwater Inducts (aggroing of course). There I stop.

VICTORY

Well after quite some time without finding a group I decided to help some 12th levels doing the betrayal quest get to the npc. Turns out some of the mobs guarding the way are too tough for either me or them and I had to tick them off and run for the zone while the guys doing the quest moved past. The karma paid off it seems and figured out a way to get to the storage room without a group.

If you follow the walls left (yes, you'll divert into a corridor with a ladder at the dead end, but keep going) you'll have to fight past a group of four green snakes (easy but be ready), avoid 4 blue snakes (if you have the experience to be 20 they'll be green and still able to kill you, but they roam back and forth in front of the doorway you need to pass through), fight past two green snakes (one up arrow)just past the doorway, walk down the corridor and run into two groups of four blue Murkwater something or others.

This is where I was stuck - until I realized that the storage room is (of course) a zone. Buff up with all you hp buffs and the hunker down discipline. Use a shield and your best armor. Sneak as close as you can to them then RUN RUN RUN (I didn't have to sprint, but that might be a good idea) down the hall. Look for a grate on the left that acts like a normal zone in. Hit the zone and you have all the time you need to heal up before the main event.

The waves were green down arrow, green and grey to a 19 + 100% xp warrior

Good luck everyone and please do profit from my repeated horrible deaths and 120pct exp debt.
