I have made little money actually crafting. Maybe 1g the other 15g I currently have has all come from Harvesting and selling at night while I sleep. I can now harvest tier 3 stuff and so far that has made me 9g in one harvest session(got a rare, results not typical Smiley: laugh). Harvest Harvest Harvest and then Harvest some more. Become the supplier for everyone else to craft..

Just like any economy, making money in EQ2 is all about finding your niche. Some are like Jute, and enjoy harvesting and others are like me, and enjoy crafting. From what I can tell of the game so far, these are the ways I see people making money:

Harvesting - Gathering/Foresting/Etc and selling the result to crafters

Crafting - Creating items to sell to other players

Farming - Killing mobs for their hopefully valuable drops

Questing - It IS called Everquest. Go quest-crazy doing as many as you can or find a good repeatable quest to repeat for a decent reward.

Figure out which of these ways fits your play-style and personality and run with it.

A tip - If you end up with equipment that is outdated or unusuable by your toon, do not sell it back to an NPC. 90% you can get a better price selling it on the market to other players. I may be wrong on this, but I believe that the sell price to an NPC is 50% of the buying price, so check what you can sell it to an NPC for, then try to get about 150% of that price selling it on your market. This makes items cheaper for other players and gets you more coin in your purse.
