"Ancient Kite Shield" quest questionFollow

I have the "Ancient Kite Shield" quest that there is no info on this web page yet, so I need some one to give me a hand. It first says to clean the dirty shield in Crater Pond, which I did, and then says to clean it with badger fur. I have a ton of average badger pelts and nothing happens. I just keeps saying that I need to keep looking at it. Do I need a different badger pelt, or is this quest broken,or do I need to collect a ton of these pelts, or what? someone please help me.

I once received bear fur from a giant bear once. It used almost the same graphic as the bear pelts but didn't stack with them. Perhaps you have to use an item called "badger fur" and not any badger pelt will do?
