These may have been adressed somewhere but I dont seem to see the specifics of what I was wanting to know, I tried asking a few peeps in game last night but they were all in the exp rage :)

-Im a lvl 15 brawler, when do I get to choose a last name?

-On the same note, Ive killed my share of undead and orcs..TONS even, when do I get a moniker like "hunter" ect? Ive got the Orc Masters Rage..but nothing in the terms of a choice. Someone did tell me that I needed to pick up the quest to have that..if so, where do I find it? and would the kills be retroactive (hoping)

-being only able to wear lighter armor, what would the best choice to have? specifics? even an armor quest direction would be nice..?

I may have more and hope all you vets can help me along some :)

You get the ability to put on a lastname (using /lastname then the name you want) once you reach lvl 20 and have your final class.

Once you kill 500 orcs or of one of the other speacial mobs(fayes, gnolls, gremlins or whatever) you get the hunter title you can choose from the persona window. I believe it's when you kill 10,000 of one of these types of mobs that you will be able to choose the "Slayer of ill-tempered midgets" title.

The armor quests for the diffrent weighted armors are greatly liked but can only be used when you hit level 20+. Though if your in a position to be getting knocked regularly it would be a good idea to fill every space you can with some little piece of equipment that cons something greater than blue, though you of course need to weigh wether your replacing something that has attractive stats or not which usually are insignificant if it is grey to you.

1. Last name you can choose at 20th lvl.
2. This has been posted a ton of times, but for the life of me I dont remember. I believe at your 500th kill you can wear the title. The orc master rage you are refering too is an attk/spell that does significant dmg to that mob(gnolls if you are on the good side)
3. I would suggest just doing quests to get your armor until 20th lvl when you can start your armor quests. Right now players are making some great armor but to me it seems a tad over priced for someone just reaching 20th lvl. Also take note of attribute's that the armor gives that best coincides with your job. My wizard I try to go for +int which makes my spells that much more effective, my predator I go for +agi and +str to counter him being a halfling. In the end its up to you though play what you want, play how you want, and have as much fun as possible without stressing what others think.

Thanks for the help, you guys are great! A final thought though, the one person who did respond told me she had a running count of her orc kills..and it was under her 'quests'. I looked through everything I had under there and nada..I cant seem to find any kind of running tally of my slaughters? By the way..I would like to say that this game is awesome, and hope to be a part of the world for some time to come :) /respecttomypeers

Theres a poster in North Qeynos (I think) that details your kills.
There is probably also one in Freeport, but I don't live there so I don't know where to find it, anyone else know?

Supposed to get last name at level 20. HOWEVER...

I grouped with a player the other night who was under level 20, but had a surname. I later put two and two together, as I was the highest level in the group, at 18, and realized that something was not right. so I went to EQ2players, and checked his online profile, and he was only 16, but was level 20 in Craftsman. So, I would assume that the tradeskill level will allow you to get a surname, also...

There is a quest that requires you to kill 40 gnolls so maybe that person was using this type of quest to keep track of the kill numbers. This quest is not associated with getting a name though, you don't need a quest to get that, just mass slaughter.

Some people get 'last names' at the start of the game too, not related to what they have done in the game or connected with lvl. When purchasing the game, some versions offer the possibility of choosing a last name that refers to the servers of EQ I. Kind of linking the two games and perhaps even giving players the opportunity of finding others that play(ed) on the same servers in EQ I.

On the other hand, it could have been linked to the lvl of the craftskill, don't think so though.

You can get those last names of previous servers if you buy the special eddition box set, the $89 one. Also get a picture.. statue and such few little things.

Something slightly special, just like the J boots for reserve.

The "server" last names are actually part of a title (under persona), and you could have a /lastname in addition to those.

I received the "of Maelin Starpyre" suffix title as well as the statue and painting, and I did not purchase the box set. I did, however, use my EQ1 station login as my account for EQ2 as well, and purchased the all access pass. Hopefully that helps.

Nope, was not one of those types of last names. Was not a title. Was an actual last name. I dont want to say the name, as I dont have the persons permission, but it was an actual last name. I'll give you a hint, it was the name of a cartoon character. :)
