A fantasy about a future expansionFollow

I want AA's! AA's should prolly not be in the first expansion though.
I am not talking about the regular AA system were you had to grind like crazy.. That is not all that fun and would cause alot of people to get tired of the game pretty fast..

My idea of a AA system would be to base it on quest, tradeskills and raids.:
- For xx raid you get 2 AA's and for yy raid you get 0,5 AA's etc.
This should be doable considering that in EQ2 raidforces are small and there are allready a few pickup raids.
- Training quests. You talk to a 'trainer' and tell him you want to increase your defense skills he will then send you on a mission were you train your mitigation, for example, by killing a few mobs. Or if you want to train your martiall arts he will tell you of a cave he heared about were a monk soicity once flourished. You go there and fight your self in with the help of a group and once you fought your way into the cave you will find an ancient letter which you examine and it will teach you the way of the flying dropkick.
- Standard AA quest. You do a quest of some sort and you gain X AA points.
- Tradeskills (not sure how to implement this yet but imo you should be able to 'grind' AA's in some way using tradeskills. If it is wholeseller quests or if it is something else I dont know atm.)
- 'Grind'. Not in the usuall way. Sure you should get some AA xp if you do normal grind but the real AA xp grind is when you help someone doing a AA quest. You should then get a AA xp bonus for each mob you kill during the AA quest.

Now, how do I spend my AA points?
Example 1: To get AA ability 'Enduring breath' you need to do a training quest or spend 3 AA's.
Example 2: To get AA ability 'Divine ubernuke' you have to do a trainingquest.
Example 3: To get AA ability 'Riding mastery V' you must do both a trainingquest AND spend 5 AA points.

In other words:
Most AAs can be both bought or quested with a 'training quest'.
Some AAs must be quested with a 'training quest'.
Some AAs can only be bought.
A few rare mastery AA's must be both bought and quested with a 'training quest'.

Status points should prolly be implemented in some way aswell.

Thoughts?

The system currently in place is sort of like this, I think, although yours is arguably better. You do not get to choose from among a large variety of "specializations," but there are some out there. For example:

* the creature mastery quests allow you to learn better and more efficient ways to destroy enemies;
* at certain levels you get to choose an increase on one of your attributes (greater agility, wisdom, stamina, etc.)

I am sure there are many of these that we just don't know about yet. Hopefully there will be better and better "AA" you can get at higher levels. Can anyone confirm?
