So I was bopping along in Oakmyst doin my thing, pickin up items, boosting my harvesting, getting owned by greatbears when I thought "DAMMIT WHERE THE HELL IS THAT SPOTTED PURPLE BUTTERFLY!!!" So I hopped on down to the broker and low and behold 20 gold for that little purple butterfly with achne. So I decided wouldnt it be nice to trade other players for their collection items and here we are =O) the collection item tradepost.
If you have any doubles or need a certain item post it in here and someone might be able to help you out with a trade for something they need.
So to get the ball rolling heres what I've got:
I'm on the Oggok server and have a striped yellow butterfly and a striped purple butterfly and am looking for anything, especially blue, yellow and violet spotted butterflys

just keep checking the broker, whoever was trying to sell that butterfly for that price must have been smoking something, they generally sell for around 1s on runnyeye, and im sure if your patient youll find one cheap soon.
It all depends on the server, and the city where you purchase. I've been selling quest items between 50s and 1g (sometimes more).
Leaves (commonlands shrub leaf collection) sell for 1gp on Butcherblock, shards sell for 50-75sp bone chips and whatnot sell for about the same as shards. Also note, that is also in Freeport. Qeynos has a MUCH higher population and I have seen prices very low there when compared to Freeport.
One thing that I always have to remind people. You don't have to pay the prices people are selling things for, you can always find the stuff yourself. That may sound like harsh advice, but this is a player economy, if something is selling/has sold for prices you have set, why would you mark it down just because someone thinks it should be cheaper.
That being said, I am willing to trade collection pieces for other collection pieces. Look me up on Butcherblock as Deykann.

I don't know about the higher end collections but bones, butterflys, shards and the like have been going for around 1-2s on Lavastorm

OK, this is a good idea, but I want to mention first that it was announced that harvested quest items bought off of brokers will not be usable for quests. I saw it in one of the patch descriptions, if I find it ill add it to this link (if I can find the link again). just an FYI.

Those are only for your crafting association quests. Like: "Gather 15 Tuber Strands from The Commonlands" and do not apply to "Commonlands Shrub Leaf Collection Quest" or "Chipped Shard Collection Quest" and the like...
