I know its a long way off, and i know the devs got their hands full atm with servers down ect..

But i got EQ2 on the brain so this is just one of many thoughts

i would like to see a few things

--> PvP in Arena Modes

--> New Rideable Animals not just horses (giant dogs/wolfs/cats/drogmars ect)

--> Quests that offer titles as a reward I.E gain title would be like "<name> of Qeynos" or "Lich <name>" or "<name> of the fifth company"

--> Epic Quests if not already implemented (was a big fan of them in EQ Live)

--> Obviously peices of Kunark, Velious ect or mybe even the mysterious spires can begin to work agian and transport to us to peices of the moon on the edge of space

--> And most important of all.... i wanna see the chessboard.. from Butcher Block i want it back -- was one of my fav places in the world and i want it back !!! :P

First expansion? LOL you're a better man and all that...I just want to get Befallen back on line...

I'm betting my 2cp that the first expansion will be Faydwer, or at least, what's left of what used to be Faydwer.

Figure one huge zone (Antonica-sized) for the Faydark Forest; a couple of slightly smaller outdoor zones for the Butcherblock and Steamfont Mountains; as well as a number of dungeons (including ruined EQ1 cities as well as some of the old dungeons.)

Id like to see more options to customise the look of the characters. Dyeing armour etc. At the moment it all looks too samey.

My bet is joining Pelendril's. Faydwer, and maybe a chunk of Odus.

I guess all of Dagnor's Cauldron would be underwater now, but Kedge Keep could still be lurking way, way down there.

I always thought Mistmoore, Befallen and Unrest were kind of redundant, so I wouldn't be too upset if it turned out Unrest was gone. OTOH, I sure would love to go back and take on Crushbone again.

Odus was a small continent to begin with, so it wouldn't be too hard to tack on one or two surviving fragments of it at the same time as Faydwer.

One thing I don't think I'd like to see would be the return of easy world-wide travel, like Luclin and the PoK provided. Sure, walking or riding long distances is a pain, but after a while it became too easy to bounce all over Norrath.

I would love to see some of the old zones in the new EXP. For example Paldual caverns, loved that place more than anything. And also wouldn't mind seeing epic quests if they are not already here.
#7 Dec 18 2004 at 6:11 PM Rating: Default
they should make one for all the coninents and stuff like eq1

first one should be kunark then velious then peices of luclin lol

More Iksar scale patterns. Why have "scale pattern option" if there's no options?? GAH!

More armor that looks cooler, maybe dyes to set what color. Tatoo parlors and stuff would be neat.

More areas, of course. More mobs. Maybe a new job level when you hit 50+ (if the cap is raised to 60 or 70)

More mounts. More quests. More solo mobs.

Did I mention cooler scale patterns? <_<

How about beat up the devs and gms mini quest/game with winnable items such as Bob's Mystical Dwarven Beard.
#11 Dec 19 2004 at 11:39 AM Rating: Decent
More spells.
I would also like to see more "hunter of" titles. I have a troll, and a D elf that are just dying to be "Hunter of Gnomes". Well, any character I play would be a "Hunter of Gnomes".

Hmm hard one since i haven't really got to see beyond the first couple of zones...

I would like to see more titles and epics but also Epic armour too, at least an epic breastplate.

More cutomisable names, maybe allowing you to choose a title.

I like how they have themed the dungeons and would like to see more of that, will the evil side able to hunt wild elves and such like.

Offline selling would sell me in a new expansion...lol

"however i hope to see this in a patch sometime in the future"
#14 Dec 20 2004 at 9:53 AM Rating: Decent
I second offline selling.
#15 Dec 20 2004 at 10:32 AM Rating: Default
How about all the bugs fixed and some time to pass before I have to shell out more cash to the game?
#16 Dec 20 2004 at 10:52 AM Rating: Decent
1) Offline selling (as done in the SWG)
2) Armor Dye
3) Faydwer Zones
Looks like the bells will be the main way of getting around as there a a bunch of extra ones.
4) Of course lvl 55 and more spells and crafting stuff (hate crafting)

And we all know Luclin is gone but there is a second moon now. Wonder what it is for?
#17 Dec 20 2004 at 12:00 PM Rating: Decent
Offline selling! Why can't they do it like Galaxies. Give your items to a broker(mainframe in swg) and people can buy from the broker. I hate leaving my computer on all day.

Velious was my favorite EQ1 expansion. I want to see Velious! I want to know what happend to Kael and Skyshrine. Are the dragons and giants still at war??

#18 Dec 20 2004 at 2:10 PM Rating: Decent
There's no second moon.. that's actually the same moon as you saw in EQLive...

In the timeframe of EQLive Luclin was hidden by the veil... totally invisible until it blew up.

I'd be happy to not have to use a bo to look good while fighting. Everything else is just so boring looking.

No new spells for christ sake I don't know what to do with the ones I already have :/ *cries at the choices*

Cut-and-paste Dark Age of Camelot's Player Merchant system. It's by far the best one out there.

More soloable content. Yeah I know that SoE prefers groups but: 1) what if I don't have enough time to wait for a group or to form one, 2) what if my class isn't desired in groups, 3) I'd actually like to get some loot occasionally rather than see the same people 'win' the lotto over and over and over again.

More "Hunter Of..." titles. In fact, I want "Hunter of Cows" NOW. I guaran-damn-tee I qualify.
#22 Dec 21 2004 at 4:53 AM Rating: Decent
42 player raid content.. 72 was to much but 24 is utterly lame.
More unique player looks: Dye, weight, lenght (not size only)
Revive x% debt spell
Critical nukes
Ports for wizards and druids
Frogloks
AAs (mby a reworked AA system though based on quests or sum)
Griffins that fly straight toward target

Some more unique spells for subtypes.. least one GOOD defining spell or ability to set them apart from others. ALot of subs are way to much alike.. mystic.. defiler druid/fury.

there are differnces.. but not alot.

Ofline selling is a nice thing to naturaly.

naturaly more zones.. area's.. item's and quest. As I am still no where near completing what is here.. i can't complain. But by time they even start an expansion i'm sure that will change.

Arena tourments.. even if it is just against NPC monsters. Able fight monsters around world, maybe with differnt options. Like betting on other Pc's fights, Risk lvls an entry fee of some sort or maybe waggering XP loss at the chance of earning prizes if you fight.

Here are some of the things I would like to see in the first expansion:

1. Revised mounts for higher level Shadow Knights. The brown mare looks more like something out of a back-stable than any real mount.

2. More opportunities for lower level characters to get suffixes. More opportunities for higher level characters to get prefixes.

3. A 'faction system', whereby a character can become truly good or evil, and have this effect the way they look. (IE if you are good, perhaps at a higher level you recieve a halo or a glowing aura, and if you are evil you recieve glowing red eyes and a sickly aura envelops you, this all A La Fable btw)

4. Repeatable quests that are actually worth repeating.

5. More soloable guild status content. Some people that play at 3 in the morning are guilded, too.

6. Opportunities for title based on starting city, such as '<name>, Herald of Freeport' or '<name>, Crusader of Queynos'. These could be accomplished by performing progression quests for the MIlita in Freeport or whoever guards that prissy little 'city' of Qeynos.

7. Better support for Macros, even a complete revert to the EverQuest 1 system. Macroing as it stands is completely functionless.

8. ANY sort of PvP. I'd also like to see GvG (group v. group) combat using the new encounter system. THAT would be a vast improvement over the old EQ1 system, in which anyone with a healer buddy could pwn you in a duel.

9. This is something I've been pushing for since I started EQ1. Dedicated, NPC GUILD BANKERS with Officer and Leader access only, or Guild Ranks with Banker as one of them and that PC is flagged as someone who can interact with the NPC Guild Banks. Come on SOE...you've shown us you can make the Bank system work, now flesh it out! (If any Dev happens to read this, I have a whole system already worked out and on paper, all you have to do is code it in...)< /wishful thinking >

OK, things I expect to see in the first expansion:

1. Tradeskill dyes (which by the way didn't appear in EQ1 in their current form until hte Legacy of Ykesha, just for a reference point).

2. Updates to the Guild system, IE guild structure and questing.

3. New zones and a level cap increase. Begin the rush to high-level raid content.

4. Perhaps an SK class rebalance, perhaps not. It seems like the populace is crying out for it, but I don't really see it happening unless thousands of people threaten to leave the game and head to Worlds of Warcraft...which, seeing the number of SKs on Innothule, doesn't seem very likely to happen.

5. Lots and lots more lore advancement. EQ2 is way more Lore-driven than EQ1 could ever hope to be.

6. I'm also expecting more star power. Heather Grahm and...that dude...you know...Saruman-guy...are probably just the first of many stars that will jump on board. Didn't one of the Andretti's say that he plays EQ1 when he has a chance? Let's see the big name Star Power!

7. The EverQuest CGI Movie. Kidding...I hope.

I'd love to see loads of bits from Fable make it in there. Like barbers that can give you different hair / beard styles, tattooists, and suchlike.

And definately a lot more armour choices, particularly for lower levels. Having to go from level 10-20 in the same gear is pretty dull, especially when every other priest / scout type looks the same as you.

Also, more varieties in stronger armour. Otherwise everyone just goes for the armour with the best AC/bonuses - why can't we have armour that has similar stats, but looks different? dyes would go a long way towards helping that, but how about being able to have symbols grafted onto armours or something like that?

For the first expansion I would like more unique gear/class gear.

A level boost would be nice, as well as a tad bit more freedom.

And deeeeeeep down inside /duel would be nice. Just to smack someone around who needs it.
