If you've been watching the EQ2 forums at all, there is a lot of hype out there about a total wipe since the servers have been down so long. IF that were to happen (and it's highly unlikely), would you keep your current character archtype/class or would you change? Or perhaps quit all togehter?

I'll start...

Currently: Templar
Probably would try a Fury instead.

I would probably just stop playing EQ2 if they wiped all chars completely. but i would make the same exact chars i had befroe if i decided to stay. A dwarf ranger and a Human inquisitor.

Nah I really enjoy my new found love of tanking. But I would for the safety of me and others wait a few months until the game is more stable. I could handle a wipe but then another one later, well I would be news lol <j/k>. But honestly I wouldnt quit but I would wait before playing again to ensure I wouldnt waste my time.

Most Definately!! Bard is seriously worthless. I would probably pick Berseker.

I have a Guardian Primary, with a cleric alt (or had yesterday at noon anyway lol).

Given a complete wipe, the cleric would probably be my primary, although I really enjoy bashing things over the head too lol.

Naa I enjoy playing Inquisitor but after a total server wipe I dont think I would have come back any time soon ;-)

I'd stay a Monk as my main, though I'd like to try defiler or necro. Necro was my main in EQ1, with Monk being my highest played alt (56).

Yes I would change my class, I'd be an assassin instead of a fury. I enjoy my 21 assassin more than my 32 fury.

I have been playing MMORPG's now for 5 years and I can't imagine ever playing as my primary anything but a healer, so I would definately recreate my Templar. Would I mind re-rolling? Now that I think about it, the most fun I have had in this game so far has been on Isle of Refuge. Might not be so bad. It would also give me the chance to re-think my crafting profession. It's looking more and more like provisioner is the way to go. The food and drink in this game give HUGE, HUGE advantage.

Nope, probably not. I've played Halfling Druids in a lot of games, and I think I'd keep on doing it. I don't know if I'd spend quite as much time on IoR this time around, though. My main stayed until he maxxed out his adventure xp for the island and completed the majority of the quests available, but my alt moved on fairly quickly.

One thing I'd definitely do differently this time: I'd leave that island loaded to the gills with stacks of tradeskill ingredients. I had no idea how spoiled I had become on the IoR until I realized that resources in the other zones don't pop in the same place every time!

I'd do what I have been doing, play my Hunter. Yea, that's in WoW, and I have been playing far more WoW than EQII for the past couple of weeks, so I didn't even know EQII was down until I saw it on the WoW boards :)

So a server wipe in EQII doesn't bother me in the least. IF I go back to EQII it will be to play with some friends who recently decided to play the game. I'll bet they aren't very happy with it this weekend.

There's no way in hell i'd switch any other archetype for my Brawler (soon to be monk). I had a lvl 60 monk in eq1 and love those more than anything. Something about dodging 60% of attacks and just being able to beat things with just your fists, that's badass if you ask me. Monks for life!

i would stick with my predator whos 30% till assasin. but if i had to remake him i would remake him a different race maybe make him a ogre assasin instead of a kerra. like one day i have plans to have a troll paladin i just think it would be funny to see a big mean troll running thru qyenos scaring all those sissy elf classes that live there.

Interesting that I do not see any replies from casters.

As a Necromancer, yes I would play another class. In a hearbeat.
Pet classes are grossly underpowered (at least as far as level 20) as compared to pure DPS casters. I realize that my pet is supposed to compensate me for the lack of pure dmaage output thru my spells but, when the pet can't hold aggro nor taunt so as to reacquire aggro once its lost it, what good is having the pet? I'd much rather have 3x spell damage and just stand toe-to-toe with the mob and nuke it down.

As for my Bard, I love him. He- not my caster- is able to solo yellows and miltiple greens and blues (even group ones) without a sweat. He's great in groups, adding to stats, magic resistence, mana regen rate and attack speed. Great solo and great in groups- what more could anyone want?

Interesting question, OP. If I had to make a new character, I'd make an Iksar Monk. Currently, I'm playing a High Elf Wizard. Oh wait, character was rolled back, I'm back down to lv 19 sorceror. Smiley: oyvey

Anything but enchanter. HORRIBLE!!!!

I wish every enchanter would save themselves the anguish and suffering and change to an alt or something to avoid being a mezzer.

Speaking of which, anyone in Antonia Bayle need a level 23 mezzing, stunning, breezing, dotting POT dealer?

Ok I the first place where in the heck do people come up with this BS? 2nd If they did have the balls to wipe everyones toons out they would more then likly have to close the game down. I am sure most people would be very pissed about it. I myself would not restart if they did.

I'de be mad, but character wipes happened back in the first months of EQ1... people still played without even flinching.

There were complaints but it didn't stop people from grinding back to where they were (this time doing it faster and better than the first time).
