Hi Guys
Someone please tell me how to practice safe fall? Scouts have this skill. I have jumped from places to no avail and no improvements in this skill. Any advice?

i hear it will be fixed in the BIG patch there planning to have in late december , and yes its completely broken and makes me sad =p

what is safe fall?
your safe fall skill determines how much damage you take when you fall from high places. so say your safe fall skill is 100 and a buddy of yours has no safe fall skill when you both jump off a cliff from the same height you will take say 50 damage and your friend will take 100 damage. its handy to have cause sometimes im not paying attentiona and run off small cliffs and take massive ammounts of damage. it will also help when you jump off the grifofn towers currently i take about 200+ damage from jumping off them so i predict that when i have a high enough safe fall skill i can jump off without taking any damage.

im not sure i havent looked at my alts yet who are mage,priest,fighter to see if they have that skill

Brawler class also get safe fall if I recall.
Bruiser's most certainly get safe fall, not sure about monks though.
Is there a good area to practice this skill in, near Freeport? There's an area in North Freeport that has several large drops, and the drop near the Jade Tiger Inn (?) seems like a good one, since it's a spiral staircase you can keep running up and jumping off.
it's a scout only skill and I have gotten about 2 or 3 skill-up's in it.. (one most recently about a day or two ago)
simply put.. you have to jump off stuff to improve it.. just don't fall too far. ^_~

Trade Skill instances are a great area for this.
The Freeport ones are perfect, just jump from level to level.. I was getting 1-2 skill ups every series.
Qeynos is not as fast but it works.
Another good way is to find any semi-steep hill and run up it and run/jump down it. Try small jumps so you get a good damage estimate first. :)

thats not quite 100% on how it works tho, it also has a chance to completly nullify damage aswell. i have some decent skill on it, an i have jumped out of the mage tower by nek station a few times jus for fun. for training i have done jump off that huge *** rock right outside Nek zone in CL, and also jumpin off of griffon towers aswell. also jumpin off of first gate in fg is pretty fun too, jumpin down in front of a group runnin away from something lol, pretty funny. course brawlers have it nice, they can fd immediatly on impact, makin it look like they died from jumpin, which is kinda funny too
Safe fall is fantastic, I am an Assassin and I jump off everything I can to lvl up my skill. It started off where if I would jump off a griffon tower I would take a good 150 damage or so, now I take about 15 damage, when I take any at all. Just run up everything in your path and jump off of it, you will get your skillups. Enjoy

Man if you are able to keep your safe fall skill up with your max points all the better for ya. Its sometimes a curse because Ill forget i have someone following me and ill run them off a cliff. My safe fall is currently at 146 and it is really hard to find anything that i can even practice on anymore. It is so sweet.
Not to beat an old thread to death but...
I found that as long as I jump from a height that would damage a normal player (not very high at all) I still get skill-ups. So even though my SF is at 117, I don't have to dive off of orc towers to skill up, I just bounce off the same low cliffs I always do (the hill outside FG is fabulous for this).
