EQ2 Marketing IssuesFollow

I find EQ2 has good potential to become the best. I think they released it too early for the reasons all of you already know and read in all other forums. And if you come here defending SOE you are obviously being paid or given benefits by them.

I hope their scheme to conn you out of your money for 4 extra toon slots fails.

I hope this outage conning you into reopening your EQ accounts or SWG accounts at the extended package offer fails, although SWG is not included in the package.

I wish they would show a little more respect to all of us Paying customers.

If you read carefully in their board where they have the official news about the outage you will notice in some of the later threads that they refer to all their customers as "you folks".

Makes you wonder if dubya isn't head of SOEs Customer relations.

Not having an ETA or a sound explanation about the problem is unacceptable and I serioulsy expect more mistreatment from SOE.

I will give SOE until February to get their stuff together. After that I will probably loose hope in the online gaming industy.

All the experience learned and profit made from EQ1 and all expansions up to this new release just goes to show that they hold little regard about excellence and dedication to their paying customers.

Its just kind of sad that we get so adicted to it that they feel they can slap us in the face and we be stupid enough to turn the cheek.

By the way they locked all posts in the Gass House in EQ2. Apparently they should call the game EQ3 not EQ2. EQ3 for the 3rd Reicht.

I hope they get burned by the press so they can learn some respect.

I don't know why you and everyone else is so upset. It's a new game, there are going to be glitches. IMO (and a lot of other people's opinion) this has been one of the smoothest launches of a MMOG. I have to say, I was surprised at how well it went.

So we lost a day. I did some other things online and spent some time with my family. I also fired up a character on Test server because I had been planning on making one there anyway.

I realize that it's just my opinion, but I think a lot of folks are taking this too far, and also taking it too personally.

I'm not an SOE fanboi, I know they have made a lot of mistakes in the past, and I'm sure they'll make some more.

But these conspiracy theories over one lost day of play are a bit too much, dontcha think?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I think you miss the point a bit.

I am showing conecern in this post for how they are treating the community, not about how smooth or not the game is after launch. I do make a brief comment about the issues that need fixing but you should agree that my main concern here is how we are being treated and how they are marketing the game to a new level.

And I am saying that I hope it backfires.

I'm going out today too and spend time with my family, it is indeed a good time to do so.
