LOL guys you are funny :)

I just wanna know where they were on wiping xp debt when I had 129% LOL. Don't have any now, did the grind, worked it off.

A 10 slot santa sack sounds interesting tho....

To the guy who wondered about getting his gf started playing, EXCELLENT idea! After complaining to my husband that he NEVER paid any attention to me any more due to EQ1, I finally decided if you can't beat em, join em, and now I'm totally hooked LOL never complain anymore.

They've missed their hourly update <sigh>. Haven't had the tv on since eq2 launch, might have to see if it still actually works lol.

Hourly update - they still don't know when it'll be up. Arghhh! I'm having withdrawal symptoms already LOL.

Starting to wonder if they might have accidently deleted everyones characters when trying to do the rollback, and are now sitting around wondering how they're going to save their jobs when the ppl over at corporate HQ learn that over half of their paying EQ2 subscribers cancel their accounts.
=P
Over 7.5 hours for a rolleback...?
>_>

Is it just Me or when they took the servers downs close to 8 hours ago they said a short time? Did someone give the programmers the antonym dictionary. or did SOE just become like most hospitals emergency rooms? Admiting nurse:we will be right with you>>>>>>> six hours later Same nurse: oh your feeling better?
#87 Dec 17 2004 at 9:12 PM Rating: Good
Yep, I seem to recall something about the downtime being short too.
Dunno about you, but for me 8 hours does not = short downtime.

I think someone forgot to do the backup and they lost everyones toons! Now they are having meetings regarding what to do: Behead the person responsible for backups or buy tickets to a country that doesn't extradite and run for it.

I wish they would at least give us a clue instead of the "uh, I don't know routine"...such as should I:

A. keep waiting it really won't be more than 8 more hours

B. Go to bed so I can get up early and play tomorrow

C. Get a life cause it ain't never gonna be fixed.

LOL

would be nice if they were fixing all the bugs

Maybe they needed to reinstall the game and lost disk #42

This is getting a bit ridiculous.. servers went down at 1 pm EST and its near 10 o clock PM est....

Most days when I play I can count on the servers going down at 10:00am my time. I have learned to deal with that..and its no big deal. Today however, I thought I'll get on today at around 11:00 or 11:30 that way the server maintaince will be over with. I'm on for 15 or 20 mins and the servers are coming down....so here we all are some 10 hours later asking the same question.... Is it up yet?

Ah, sweet revenge.

When I log on at midnight PST (I live in the middle of the Pacific) only to be booted off for a patch everynight in a couple hours' time, I sometimes wait in the General Chat until the patch is over. Sometimes it's a quick patch--an hour or so--and sometimes I wait until I have to go to bed without ever logging back in. My vendor never sells anything because he gets booted as soon as I leave the computer (the almost nightly patch again). I've tried venting in the General Chat, and all I hear from the players in the continental U.S. is, "You're in the minority where you are. Suck it up and quit whining."

So, to all those intolerant, self-centered people from General Chat, I just want to say:

I'm in the minority where I am. It's still bright and sunny outside, and I have all evening/night left to play. If the servers aren't up for another four hours, I'll *still* have a ton of playtime. Sleep tight, suck it up, and quit whining. t(^.^)

For those that weren't rude in to us non-continental U.S. players, I can say with confidence that I know how much the waiting sucks. Sorry.

I'm going surfing for a while.

OK, I'm reaching the end of my patience now. I know sh#$ happens and all, and that's ok, but I'm really tired of the "we don't have an eta yet" routine.

SOE customer service should have figured out by now that we need a LITTLE more information than that. After 8 hours an "I'm sorry guys but we ran into xx technical problem (a non techie name for problem) and it's gonna be a long while before we get this going again" or something other than the head up my a!# "I don't know" would go a long way towards restoring my patience.

Ok, thanks for letting me get that off my chest....lol a little rant.
