I agree that things happen, and they most certainly must be repaired, that is to be expected. I do also belive that during down players do not receive the service that they are paying for and should be compensated. Down time should be added to a players account, seems only fair.

It's when they take everything that everybody did from a certain time on and erase it. For this rollback the are taking everything down and putting all characters, quests, items, money and everything back to the way it was at 7am PST this morning. If you have played since 7am this morning forget about everything you did. If you haven't then it only means that you can't play right now and are stuck reading a message board to get your fix.

Sweet! I was being really stupid yesterday doing things I shouldn't have been and had aquired about a 45% debt. LoL, it probably would have taken me this long to grind xp to get rid of that.

If you haven't seen bad santa then do yourself a favor and quit f'n around on this forum, go to blockbuster, and rent it, better yet go to best buy and buy it...Long live corporate america /salute...

You made a 10 slotter today? What tradeskill level are you?

Now I'm jealous...

They aren't going to add any time to anyone's account. Just because you pay them for the right to play at any time, does not mean that you actually play 24/7. For some people this is cutting into their play time, and for some it isn't.

No, I'm not happy about it, but I understand that sometimes things like this happen. I just do something else until the servers come back up. But I don't expect them to reimburse me for time that I "might" have been playing.

Cost of a month of EQ2: $14.99
Number of Hours in a month:730.484398
Price per hour: .02 (roughly)

Please note that I suck at math, so that may be a bit off. I know that it sucks to lose any time that you want to play, but life goes on. :)

No, I have not (unfortunatley) made a 10 slot bag. I was jokeing (wishing), that inlieu of removing our xp debt because of the server crash, that they would award us with a 10 slot bag instead.

True, thye wont reimburse us but even if they did hen so what? do you really want that .1$ ? ;-)
They already cleaned our debt (unfortunatelly I had none) and I think it is enough at least for some of us.
The way I see it is they gave us tis lil bonus becasue servers will be down for quite a while and this exp debt thingy will distract our attention ;-)

Well, as I am having a beer with my brother after work (and I did grumble a bit because I wanted to craft my first spells...) I guess I can have a few beers! Maybe even talk to people!! Wow! Whole new vistas are opening up, all because of this downtime!!
#43 Dec 17 2004 at 6:56 PM Rating: Good
I think that the devs should give every char a nice christmas cake, a one that lasts say 2hrs and reduces recovery time by say 50% I could live with that, hehe.

Hahah, this is too perfect as I racked up about 40% last night in a horrible FG group. Sucks that it's down but I was dreading having to work off my debt.

I get off work in about 40 minutes. Should I A, go to the bar and get trashed? or B, go home and hope the servers are up by around 9 EST?
