Gee, I was just on the "official" website, and realized I can't rate the news release guys....not fair! LOL I wanna rate their posts!
Guess I'll have to actually finish wrapping Christmas presents this morning LOL.

I just wish it was better then, "Still down no ETA".
Something like "Well we had a power flux" or something "and the severs got screwed up" or burned down "and we had them up like 10 hours but we wanna play with out the lag, so we are keeping em locked. Sony has like 50 billion dollars so we can comp you guys a day or two. You'll be paying and playing for years no matter how much we **** you off any way"
I played a lot of EQ 1....

They are sayin now that they are in internal testing and they will open them as soon as everything is all clear.

ok time for my 2 cents
1. got up this morning at 6 am getting ready for work (I work weekends, but I get 3 days off when all ya saps are in school/work... woot! :-P) and jumped on my computer, hopeing, just hopeing that maybe... just maybe... what.. whats that... its loading... NOOOO,,, i mean YESSS>... at the very least "I can sell" I am thinking... oh... I can see my toon... YES... great almost there...wait...whats the red down there... "Offline server not available" no... No... NOOOOOOOOo.. Dang it... now I'm late for work :-(
2. Just got to say this... since the game started there have been less problems than any other MMORPG that I have played. Yes there have been issues, but even if there was a toon wipe and I would have to start over I would, granted only 1 time. I feel this game is very well put together, and actually I would be concerned if there weren't at least a few bumps in the road

Well put and agreed...I'd do the same...having a lot of fun with the game and miss it now
I tried to play EQ1 last night after the server had been down about 8 hours or so. It was funny as hell, couldnt stand the long zonein times, the character graphics are just gay as hell, the zones look like they were written on a Tandy, and I found I didint miss it AT ALL. I ended up giving away about a million plat worth of gear, and cancelling my subscriptions. This game is leaps and bounds better than it's predecessor, and it IS GOING TO HAVE SOME PROBLEMS. Which is just fine. I keep thinking that this is no rollback though. that would just be a matter of doing the backups, right? So what if no one did them and that's why they are still down, having to redo it all by hand.
Man, that would suck.

Friday @ 10AM EST -- Servers are going down. Yay I just completed 2 quests I've had on my log for a long time. Damn I almost made it to Sir Yeagar to do the turn in before getting cut off...
Friday @ 11AM EST -- Why am I standing by BB again with only 2 quests in my journal and half my spells gone? I think I'll sign off until they get this straightened out...
Friday @ 3PM EST -- The servers are down, ETA 5PM EST
Friday @ 3:30 EST -- The servers are still down and btw, no ETA for you!
Friday 5PM EST -- No, they're not up yet, we're working on it, and that's that!

That's been my life in a sad little nutshell for the past 24 hours. While I am a very patient person, I agree with all of those who have said we are owed a better explanation than what we've been given. If they don't think the servers will be up today, then say so. Tell me what has gone wrong and give me a ballpark estimate of when you suspect it will be fixed. If it turns out you have to extend that time, then so be it, but at least give me the courtesy of providing more valuable information.

no no no whats sad is that i got home from high school yesterday right? at 3 pm EST and sat on my computer till 4 am EST saturaday, nothing, went to sleep woke up its now 10:07 and still nothing ... blehi bet they have to wipe EVERYTHING every guild, every single named mob that was killed, you know what if they do that they better give us 14.99 players those 4 extra slots!!!!!!

They said they were rolling back to 7am Friday morning....OK my toon was in CoD since 10 p.m. CST Thursday night. How come when I try to log in now it shows that my toon is in the apartment???
I did play Friday morning for the couple of hours after the patch but didn't notice anything wrong with my spells, abilities or quest journal.
I am on the Steam server btw.
Getting worried if the rollback is much earlier like btwn 7-9 p.m. Thursday I harvested my first rare rough coral.

but I won't worry til you grind up your EQ2 DVD's into a fine powder and cut it into lines for that quick hit while you're at work. O_O

BLASPHEMY... you only do that to BURNED copies of it.... what is this world coming too

Hmmm my friend just tried logging in and it shows his toon is in TS. He said he hasn't been in there since Wednesday night....OMG how far will the rollback be?

So where are they posting the hourly status reports??? LOL I'm so glad I made plans with my family so that I will be able to play this weekend starting Friday evening.. was to be a complete EQ2 and Football weekend for me ... nothing but fun and junk food... my holiday treat to my self...
