Who went what class and what do you think of it? I play a warlock from freeport and I wanted to get an idea of what some of the good folk think of conjurer. I was close to betraying in order to play this class.

I am currently a summoner, just short of becoming a conjourer, if the servers would have been up, I would have made it already. But at any rate I really like the class. With your pet you are always able to solo if you dont have a group handy. It keeps you on your toes and just fun to play !

I am enjoying this game tremendously. I am a conjurer, lvl 18 now and a scholar lvl 16. I have leveled only going out into Antonica with my pet at my side looking for raw materials to harvest. Most of those precious materials are always surrounded by monsters that help me raise my skills and my lvls. Playing with a pet at your side is like having your private tank. I have never grouped nor felt a need for it. I will though, but for now, a solitary lady mage who harvests is wonderful for me.

so far I'm loving Summoner and I'm looking forward to conjuror.. those pets are VERY capable once you get App II, III, or Adept versions of the spell.

Lvl 24 Necro here and loving it. Necro is a tough class and not nearly as blessed as our silly little goody-goody counterparts, but I love it nonetheless.

21 Necro here and I wouldn't trade him in for anything at this point. The only problem I have with it is that the lvl 20 pet is not a tank at all. He is a caster and does pretty decent damage but he cannot hold his ground. I hear tell that the lvl 24 pet is a mummy and is a very good tank. I see now why some people were complianing about the pet at this level.

If I'm soloing right now I'm back to my scarab. He's a much better tank. If I'm grouped up I'm using my skelleton for his improved damage. I like the complement of DoT spells we have. I think a necro is at his best in a group with no enchanter. The necro then can take over crowd control by having the pet fight a mob off in the corner. He can also cast a good amount of AoE DoTs that really tear mobs apart.

Your level 20 pet (Grim Spellbinder) is not intended to tank. It is intended to be a DPS pet for when you are in a group. For soloing, you should continue to use Tellurian Recruit, until you get to 24 and get your upgrade.

Conjuror myself. Very handy if you dont have hours to play. You can just log on and do something without hanging around for groups. The comment about pet adepts is spot on. Dont expect to stand there and beat a mob up yourself! Its all about agro management and letting pet do the work with you launching the odd dot, nuke etc. The things that really annoy me tho are:

1. Target too far away. I get this so so often when I do move in to assist pet. Even when I am literally sat on top of mob I get this message far too often. I means that your melee skills level a lot slower than they should. A lot!

2. Pet mob dance! Pet engages and then spends the next minute manovering with the mob (looks like dancing to me hehe) which invariably means they also move some distance away from you before they actually stop moving and fight head to head. Can get you into some nasty situation if the 'dance' into a nearby kos group. Does not happen everytime, but too often for my liking.

3. You hit level 20 and get new fire pet. Beware! Even tho lvl 20 pet the apprentice version has about as many HP as a wet paper hanky. Stick with Adept versions of lower level pets until you have the better versions.

Fun class tho and great for the casual player imo.

I am an illusionist and loving it , my only issue with my class ( isnt even a real issue with my class as it is over the FUN spells ) is our illusions suck . Almost every other class I play with has a funky illusion , Illusionists can make you good races only , until we get gnoll at much higher levels , then the only kewl form we have is gnoll .

Illusionists are to be the masters of illusion , so far all we master is human and half elf forms LOL

Yeah illusionist here, I agree with you about illusions...they blow. I love the class but I sure do miss my pet, he had become a trusted companion in EQ1.
