Just curious, can an evil race such as an Ogre betray to Quenos or are they stuck in Freeport because they are evil? Also, can an evil class like a necromancer betray to Quenos or are they stuck in Freeport because they are evil? I don't plan on doing the betrayal quest, but I am curious how it works. Can only neutral races/classes betray or what?

Any race can do the betrayal quest between levels 15-17. At level 18 you begin your Subclass quest and can no longer betray.

There can be no Good Necromancers or Evil Conjurers. You do not get to pick these classes until level 20 and by then it is too late to betray.

So you may have an Ogre Paladin and a High Elf Shadow Knight but not an evil Paladin or a good Shadow Knight.

I'm an ogre that betrayed to Qeynos. While accepted in the city, sometimes a guard will draw his sword and start running towards me before he realizes I "belong". It's a real hoot.

Since you betray before subclass selection, you are limited to "good" or "neutral" subclass after betraying. Certain subclasses then become unavailable, such as my healer can't become an inquisitor cause is an evil subclass.

Hope that answers your question - and it's a ton of laughs being a whole bunch taller than everyone in Qeynos.
