I go in merchant mode in my house when I go to sleep, when I wake up I'm always seeing the "Lost connection to server" Crap. And It's not my internet :(. Heh anyone know what may be going on?

Well, the fact that they take the servers down for a while every morning could be part of the problem. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

Its been happening to me too. Its because they perform an update almost everyday. Which kicks everyone out of the servers.

Yes, the server reset is a possiblilty but also, I forget where I read it but it was official, after a certain period of time, afk, or non active, your toon will automatically get booted. This, according to offical person who I read this from, reduces popluation on server and reduces possible lag. Which I kmow doesn't make much sense since the majority of people sell when they are non active. Go figure. Merchant system in this game sucks... they'll fix it eventually though cause everyone hates it.

Hmm so what if we were to put our toon on autorun? Would it be considered active? lol.

It is not true that if you are afk a certain amount of time your toon gets booted. You only get booted if you lose the connection (your ISP drops it) or if the servers come down. Plus in merchant mode you are not afk.

actually they will brought the server down during the midnight once per 2 days. they do that because they dont want people just turn their character into marchent mode than go to bed. I read that message from the EQII official site but I dont have the link.

That explains why I've entered peoples houses to find them running in circles. I just always figured it was from the server downtime every day.

Used to happen to me. I seriously autorun into a wall. As long as it's not the corner (one night I came on to a /tell that I was too far into the wall...? to buy from) you'll be fine and stay on till the server reset.
