Why doesn't increasing/decreasing your Strength change your Attack Rating? I thought strength factored into it.

Nope. The weapon determines that. It's what kinda makes things effy. A ratonga hits for the same amount as an ogre, but lands more hits and gets hit less often(ALOT less). As I've yet to ever run out of power during a fight with any fighter I've ever played(including ratonga, erudite, dark elf, and gnome) I ASSUME that combat arts start to really drain power later down the line.

STR = weight capacity, power for fighters, and I THINK(not sure) the damage of combat arts. I'm fairly certain my kerra scouts' combat arts did alittle more damage than the ratonga, but I'm not sure. Even so it did it couldn't compensate for the ratonga's accuracy with regular attacks.

Odd, just tested this with my Shaman and my attack rating does go down when removing +STR items. Are you sure?

Str is directly related to Attack. Your skill level in that particular weapon also comes into play regarding your attack. So if are say crappy in slashing, and equip a slashing wep, your skill will go down until you bring that skill to par.

My dwarf has 84 str at lvl 27 and my attack is almost at 500. Trust me your str relates to attack.

On paper, yes, but have you notice a change in damage output?

It must be computed using base strength then because if you add STR eq, nothing changes.
