Short and sweet, I need to know where to buy one.

Thanks in advance, as always.

Craftsmen make them. I think that's the only source (not sure).

Hope that helps

Well, you see, I'm asking this for someone else.

Anyways, he says that he doesn't have the skill to make them, so he has to buy them to increase his skill. There's gotta be someone where he can buy them from.

You are not going to be able to walk up to a merhcnat and just buy these...at least not until SOE let up on the artisan class interdepencies. These patterns are ONLY made by other players..so....

There are a couple of ways you can get these patterns:

1) Check the broker. On steamfont, this is pretty usless as they only rarely appear and are often priced at 20+sp
2) Ask a guildie craftsman. I also tried this, it worked well, I was getting patterns for 2sp each but ultimately the wait for them was a pain in the ****
3) Level up a new character to become craftsman. I was fortunate in this respect as I had a mage I had just gotten of IoR so was good to go. I handed over stacks of frogslegs, fish, tin and LQ pelts as well as all the other required ingredients for making stuff from my main toon. It then took about 2 hours to get to level 10, craftsman. Almost immediately after hitting level 10 I was able to make pristine burlap patterns and now have as many as I need. Mind you, having to buy stroma wash and the like on the broker, each one comes to about 2s each to make, so I'm not getting them any cheaper...just when I want and as many as I want.

I hope that helps :)

As you pass level 10 in tradeskills, the interdepencies become a complete pain until you figure out a way around them. I need burlap patterns as well, so have an alt making those. For the stroma wash, stroma resin, etc etc, my hubby's main character is making for me. I really think we need a guild just for crafters on Befallen. :)

And no, there are almost never burlap patterns on the market, at least not on Befallen. Crafters may not realize the need yet?

Yeah, that pattern thing kinda sucks. I found a few the other day, but today when I looked, no one had any.

Maybe if we had some sort of descriptions of what our items were being used for (outside of our crafting profession), we could make sure we had some of these items for sale for others who might need them.

I solved this problem by making 4 crafters with 4 more on the way up. One is a level 22 Alchemist, one is a level 21 Woodworker, one is a level 20 Tailor and one is a level 21 Jeweler. I am working on 4 more to become a Sage, Carpenter,Weaponsmith and Armorer.

Kinda a pain in the butt to level them all up, but it is very easy and very cheap. The only thing I ever have to pay for is my standard merchant supplies; liquids, fuels, etc. I gather all of my materials myself. I also rarely sell anything on the broker since I use up everything myself. I only make what I need for my characters and workshop quests. I make plenty of money to support my characters. I'm not rich by far, but wealth isn't only measured in coin especially if you never have to buy anything. haha
