Alright so I got 10 days till I get started and Im gonna be a Scout I know that. It looks like a blast and has sooo much to do. I was thinkning that Hume would be a good choice cause it has even strength and AGI and attac so that seems like a whise hcoice. I really wanna be th most succesful scout that I can be and still have but loads of fun and I was just wondering what yall thought about any other race choices for scout and why? Tanks.
If I understand correctly the way the game is set up, it really does not matter which race you start with since your stats make little difference in the end. I perfer to play human myself.

Your stats will conform to fit your class over time, so the initial break down does not have a real long term effect. Early on, I have not seen any real effect.
Pick one you enjoy and go to town with it.
BTW> Dont forget to use poison, you can easily double your dps with it and duel weilding.

yea thats one thing Im really looking forward to....duel weild. Only the NIN in FFXI had it so im glad to finally try it out cause it looks awsome. I guess Ill just pick a race that looks cool and customize it to my taste. Thanks guys.

well, im no EQ scientist, but my scouts a 1/2 elf, and im able 2 solo perfectly fine w/em, althought the human stats do look rather balanced better than a 1/2 elf
Bad thing about humans - CANT SEE IN THE DARK. Unless you play with gamma turned way up, this is a disadvantage. I went with half elf - you get benefit of better sight and some of the hardiness of a human. Plus we look better :-)

Race really doesn't matter, just play what makes you happy :)
The only thing you need to think about is if you want to be one of the classes that is only available in the good or evil city you need to choose the race that will start in that city or prepare to do the betrayal.
