Marketboard QuestionsFollow

I'm new to the marketboard thing, so please bear with me.

1. Do the items have to be in my inv to be eligible for sale or is there some other way around that?

2. When I choose to sell while I am still in my inn room, then camp, are my items still viewable to other market shoppers while I'm not playing?

3. Are the items and coin automatically transfered from seller to buyer?

Thanks for the help.

So basically to sell through the marketboard I have to sit in my inn room active with the game open and without camping?

yes.
And when you get some cash you can buy stations for tradeskills so you can sit and do tradeskills while selling.

1. How much do stations cost?

2. What percentage of what you list to sell do you generally sell overnight if you leave your character up all night?

Best to do it overnight by going AFK and then going to sleep.

Yeah thats probably what I'll do. I'm just wondering if I do that if I can sell everything in one night, or how long it takes. I have pretty much the lowest price for every item, at least lower than anyone else who was on when I was. My inventory is full, and I need coin, so how much do you think I'll sell over one night (on average) ?

I have had mixed results. It all depends on how many tradeskill players are on and looking. I had raw thyme on me for a week and it would not sell, then poof they were gone for 50c per. I found turqoius, electrum and maple to sell the best.

What happens if something happens to the server right after I go to bed ? Then my computer sits on all night for nothing right?

It is hard to say. I haven't sold much of anything in terms of harvested items (ore, wood, roots, fish) because it is relatively easy for those that use them to go out and buy them. Your best bet is to sell things like spell/skill upgrades and craftman/outfitter/scholor upgrades. Items involved in collection quests can be sold for about 5 silver a piece as well, if you happen to have duplicates or are not going to do the quest at the time that you have it. When putting down your price, and if you are going to be selling for more than a couple of hours, you want to stay around the average price. It doesn't do you any good to set your price below the lowest price on the board, so just set it somewhere in the middle. If your market is going to be active overnight, for 6-8 hours, chances are is that those low-priced items will go first, but eventually the board will be clear of them and people will buy yours. If you are selling the right items, and enough of them, than you could expect to easily make 50-80 silver in a selling session.

Pretty much, but the usually don't go down unless it is scheduled, and they always try to bring them down in the morning of the day of service. Just check the official EQ2 website for a list of upcoming patches/repairs.

Well I have around 100silver worth of stuff listed, and that is with undercutting my competitors. If I raise prices up to the average, it would be even more. I just hope to get rid of some if it though. I have some decent weapons and artisan supplies listed, and a real good symbol that I can't use because I'm a Warrior, and then I also have some of the easier artisan supplies like raw wheat, black walnuts, etc. I guess I'll have to leave EQ2 open tonight and see what happens. Anyone leave it open during the day while at work and see how selling goes?

I would love to, but they usually patch in the mornings after I am already at work.

And how much do the artisan stations cost so I could at least work while I wait?

there are discussions of this subject here and here.

basically, these are premium items that will only be available to higher level guilds.

at level 10, the equipment you can purchase will make second level items (i.e., shaped). at 15, 3rd level, and at 25, pristine level.
