when you use a bow, do you have to hit a macro or something to shoot like in FFxi or is it more like WoW where it toggles and is there a minimum range that you can shoot in and if the mob gets too close, you have to use a dagger?
You hit the auto ranged button, and if you are too close you don't attack, and you either have to back away or hit the auto attack button for melee.
look in your book of knowledge (k) at the abilities tab (i think), for one called ranged attack. drag it to a hotbar, and you're good to go :).

Just a side note..
If your duel weilding and use a bow and have poison... When your bow strike lands you have a chance to proc the poison twice. :) Very nice little glitch (bugged).

In addition to getting swipes off with blade fury ;) hmmnn... yummy. Now lets bury this before they nerf it.
