Little off topic but I found solo'ing my scout incredibly difficult at first.. Until I figured it out. It's all about having a good pattern of abilities to use until you can stun the mob again. My usual round went something like:

Backshot
Cheap Shot (stun and stop fighting)
Stalk (quick walk around to the back of the mob)
Shadowblade
Bleed
Pierce
Impale

By then the cheap shot timer was usually up again and I could do another stealth or positional attack. I'll admit that I didn't get my scout very far so I don't know what it was like at higher levels but I was killing solo orange mobs and green^^ group mobs at lvl 16 (sometimes blue^^ but that was pretty risky and generally not worth it).

Soloing with a scout is definitly an art form. If everything goes right, the fights are short and sweet. If something goes wrong, start preparing to retrieve your shard.

soloing as a scout takes practice but can be done fairly easy as long as you dont think your god and try to take out red^^ mobs. at lvl 19 as a predator i can effectivly solo yellow^ solo mobs with no problem they give decent xp and a chance at some good loot. now lower blue and green mobs do not stand a chance against me i can walk over most of them usually with ease.

the trick at lvl 19 predator is use your arrow attack to your advantage. pull useing back shot for about 100+ damage then run backwards useing openshot for about another 100 damage on most blue mobs they will be almost dead at this point. then just use your HO chains and rock that mob back to where he came from. and if all goes wrong inthe fight and your about to die ensnare the mob and arrow kite him around till you finish the mob off. oh and make sure you use poison if your a scout use poison everytime it wears off or you die it adds alot of extra damage in a fight and the fact that you have a chance to proc a poison attack each swing is awesome. i duel wield 6-11 damage 1.2 second delay weapons right now and useing the only poison ive been able to use so far till lvl 20 i will proc alot of poision procs a fight which just adds to my dps.

sure you cant solo higher lvl mobs like any of the tank classes can because of their hp/ac but you can solo well to get xp when you cant find a group. oh and try to upgrade your gear as fast as you can right now at lvl 19 i have about 639hp and an ac of i think 450 which helps out alot compared to when i was lvl 10 with no hp and hardly any ac.

Hehe, with my assasin I normally go:

Shadowblade
Cheap Shot
Impale
Bleed
master strike ability if applicable
sneak attack
shrouded strike (not very good at this at the mo and i always lose shroud)
pierce
quick attack

then if need be i use stalk to get rid of aggro and begin again from cheap shot :)

well making arrows in this game is pretty complicated compared to eq1 there are like 10 sub combines to make a finished arrow. i started to try it but said forget it after i didnt have a recipe for one of the items in my recipe book. so i just buy the 5cp arrows from the newbie town vendors. you may still want to try it you may get lucky and be able to make them and save some cash but i think you have to have your crafting at lvl 9 to be able to get all the recipes to make tin arrows which is your first set of arrows you can make.
