Can anyone explain to me the purpose of fishing? I've been raising the skill, but I cannot sell the fish anywhere. What do I do with the fish?

Alla doesn't have any information that I could find on fishing, and I tried searching to see if someone already made a fishing thread and didn't find one, got some error message instead.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

as far as I can tell, fishing is just another form of collecting, such as mining and foresting. The fish you catch are going to be used in a variety of tradeskills, the most apparent being caulinary.

As far as I can tell,(I'm not a dedicated tradeskiller mind you) is that fish are used in recipes for aspiring provisioners. At this point, they've gone almost ignored, seeing as very few people actually realize the benefits of using food & drink. Thus the reason you'll find so many fish nodes & shrubbery nodes all over.
