Need Coin in FreeportFollow

#1 Dec 13 2004 at 9:57 AM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know where a good place to get coin in Freeport for a level 14 warrior? I still have some quests to do which should help, but I'm running low and don't really know where to go from here.

Harvesting in the commonlands worked real well for me. Everytime I am out hunting, I harvest everything I see, then put on my trader for the night. The low end you will get (on my server) is 75cp for turquois, 25cp for severed maple, 75cp electrum cluster. At times you can get more, but I prefer to keep the prices down.......it helps me sell quicker and helps the tradeskillers as well.

You can try and sell any adepts that dropped for you at the same time.

Note: Always be working on a wholesaler quest when you are out hunting.....you get 12sp per completed quest and you can work on it at the same time you are out hunting.

Two questions concerning Jarpen's post.

1. I've only been in the Commonlands a few times, and there were some orcs and bloodskulls that were like yellow or orange, are they argressive?

2. Should I sell through a broker since I don't rent an inn? Will I still make money if I do?

I'm not at all experienced with using my marketboard, because I don't have a room, so if you could clarify this I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I think you mean my post ;-)

I recommend renting an inn (5sp is easily made to cover rent).

Buy a bulletin board (under 1sp). You need this because the broker puts a mark up on what you sell, meaning it will be harder to get your goods into a sellable price range. You can use the board to price check your competitors as well as check out goods you might like to buy with your profits.

Every server has a different economy. Once you buy a bulletin board check out the various harvested goods, and what they go for, this will let you know what goods to key in on.

Missed your Orc question. For the most part you should be able to avoid the orcs you can not handle. Head to the crossroads and check things out around their, there is some good hunting for you in that area, and lots of things to harvest.

14 warrior in Freeport:

You have Mangle and Wound. Get those as upgraded as you can.

Look for double ^^ green group mobs. Shin'Rae Avengers near Freeport station and Wailing caves are a good choice. Better yet if you find you can deal with it, is to go into the Wailing Caves. The little spiders and pawns in there are good for quests, requisitions, and for loot. Double ^^ green group stuff is a warriors friend until you are 18. Avoid the spiritists or other casters until you can handle them.

You should be able to go all the way up to the advisor solo, leveling as you go, finishing several quests. 17-18 before you have to leave. Decent adept drops, but common anymore. All in all though, the group con mobs drop better loot, and if you solo them like you can, you get it all. It is lots of fun to smoke the 6 man foundry group until you get the named blacksmith by yourself. None of my casters can do that...

18th seemed to mark the end of solo'ing group con mobs for my warrior, but its possible I didn't find the right one.

Thanks Delvik and Loraque, I will take your advice. I didn't know that rent could be made so easily. I will head out to the crossroads and check out the wailing caves and do some harvesting to sell. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.
