I've been trying to get a certain sword called Soulreaver for my BF, think of it as a Christmas present of some sort...lol. All I know is that a named in Vermin's Snye drops it. Any more information? Like...Is it a quest with a named kill for it? The name of the named (god no one seems to know this). How and where I can get it to spawn?
I know this is not much help, but I thought I heard someone asking what a good price for it would be in the Commonlands by Freeport. I could be very mistaken, though. Do you know if it is around Qeynos, or Freeport?
The only thing down in Vermin's Snye that seems to give a weapon is this quest: .
You require to fight the npc untill she drops the calcified bone, then examine it and finish the quest to get a weapon.
Not sure if this is the one you are looking for, haven't done it myself as Vermin's Snye is not the easiest place to solo at lvl 17, lol.

Okay, for once someone finally had a Soulreaver up on Broker. For a whopping 5gold. :( I had to NPC sell a ton of stuff in order to make sure I got this thing for my BF. I still have no clue how to get it in the first place, 'cause the two people that had them up were AFK.
Has anyone heard of Ghoulbane? Some **** in Thundering Steppes was rambling about that mob after I /ooced for help and he spazzed. T_T; Is he the named that drops it? I've never heard of him before...>_>

The Ghoul Bane is actually a sword gained from a high level Heritage Quest. There was a Ghoul Bane in EQ1.

I did a search on eq2players message boards, and a guy named Plexor said:
"I got it from one of the two named bloodsaber mobs who are near the entrance of the Crypt of Betrayel in Vermin Snye."
I'm from Freeport, so I have no idea what that means. I hope it helps though.

According to Alla's quest info, the Ghoulbane is the end result of a rather long, and (at the end) rather high level quest. Supposed to have to be low 30's to finish it. Obviously, I havent finished it yet though, so dont know first hand.
Ghoulbane requires you to be at least level 40-50 to finish. The last part of the quest involves very high level undead. The weakened ghoulbane can be done at around lvl 25-30 but you need to be at least level 30ish skill to wield it.
It does drop from 1 of the 2 nameds in the bloodsabre area in VS there is 1 named that has 2mobs with him he is a lower con like (mad)in his name.The one that drops it will be 1 con higher or 2 and comes with 4 mobs..clear the bloodsabre rooms till the nameds spawn...HE DOES NOT drop it everytime it dropped once and another pally won the roll and i killed him 4 other times ..the 4th he dropped it for me.Both nameds do drop other nice loot..duel weapons and some neck items...bloodsabres are needed for priests subclass quests so the rooms are cleared and named spawn all day. 1 named geyed on me but the soulreaver named remained green at 22..good luck get ya one its a nicee..XD
