My log parser for EQ2Follow

#1 Dec 11 2004 at 1:31 AM Rating: Decent
Since i havent been able to find one i decided to start one myself, so far i've only put in a couple hours but its a start

http://test.gentoo-portage.com/~thrasher/eq2log/

So far it only parses your damage and displays information on a per-encounter basis. Its very simple right now but tomorrow i hope to add much more, i'll post here with development if anyone is interested. is anyone interested?

I just crave attention and thought i would post an early version

someone should make sure this isnt some sort of virus thats gonna steal you eq account... this just looks fishy imo.

Oh if anyone could send me a 1 or 2 meg caster log that would be great, i'm not entirely sure the parser will work for a caster just yet.

If some woune could email me a log that would be much appreciated, mike AT thrashcorp.com

Yes - no offense to IkeoBefallen, but make sure you know what you are downloading everyone. If someoen who knows programming/code can verify that this program is benign, then I am sure that there will be more downloads and feedback on it. I have heard rumors of some "parsers" having keyloggers hidden in them that record and send your login/pass, so - again in no offense to the Original Poster - be careful!

well teh entire parser is written in PHP... and seing that PHP is a scripting language and not a programming language....

The script is run by placing it in the same directory as your log file on a web-based server that supports php. runing parser.php through a web browser will parse the log and make all those html files for you.

P.S. I added more information, it will now show what other people aroud you wree doing during the fight. I'm planning on also seperating the fights by day. Still waiting on someone to email me a caster log.
