probably a dumb questionFollow

How do you know what armor you can wear. Im a mage so i think i can only wear light armor. but then, how do i know if im a high enough lvl for it?

As a mage you can only wear very light armor. You can tell if you are high enough in skill for an item by checking the color of it's name. Also, when you right click on the item and examine it, you can see the amount of skill it requires to equip versus what skill you have.

EDIT - I should of mentioned that the color of its name works just like the con system. If its red, you can't wear it. It will also say at the bottom of its stat window that you do not have the skill required to use this item. If its orange or below, you can use it. If its grey, its time to find a new item :)

That's good advice. The only thing I can add to the above is that you can hit either the K or L key in game and get a window of all your skills. Scroll down to "very light armor" if you're a mage, and note it. Then when researching the web you can tell at what level you can wear it. Usually if it's quest armor - if you can get the quest you can wear it - usually (but it also must match your class - like "very light" for mages). GL
