I've been getting emails from Sony saying this exactly:

Greetings thechrosis,

We regret to inform you that your EQ2 subscription is about to be de-activated because the credit card number that you provided upon registration for this account is invalid. In order to maintain or re-activate your subscription, you will need to launch EQ2 and click on the My Account or Edit Subscription button located on the LaunchPad. When prompted, please enter a valid credit card number, SOE Game Card code* or other accepted method of payment.

* Sony Online Entertainment Game Cards cannot be used as payment for Station Access or Station Pass.

Please note that you will be unable to log into any game or official forum until your subscription is activated with a valid method of payment.

Thank you,

Sony Online Entertainment

Im wondering if anyone else has gotten this? It says im going to be un able to log into any account untill i have a valid credit card..but I am still able to log in and play.

Is the credit card you have listed under your account a valid one? The number, at least? Possibly you made a typo when entering it? If you got EQ2 around the day it came out, nows the time it would be charged the first time. Up until now they may have not known the number was invalid. Double check it to be sure.

They have charged me for it, It is on my bill.

And on eq2players.com .. when I click on my character profile.. it says "This player has not yet upgraded to advanced character profiles".

What's this? This has just started happening recently, my emails came on the 9th and one on the tenth, I have gotten four emails from them.

This happened to me and my friend. It's utter bull imho. Just a way to make you upgrade. I was pretty pissed really, because I know my credit card is good and so is hers.

GRAAAAAH!

But I renewed anyway *sigh*

I'm talking to a CSR right now and it seems he can't find a problem. I told him there must be a glitch in your system then, because I was able to view my character profile, and now it says I must upgrade? Since when?

lol the CSR just transferred me to another CSR cause he doesn't know, heh gogogo sony.
