For fighters I believe that strength adds to Power.

Warriors: Probably Strength or Stamina. Possibly a combo of both. Maybe Agility?
Crusaders: Wisdom
Priests: Wisdom
Mages: Inteligence
Scouts: Agility?

There are probably many more factors, check your player manual and look at each classes primary stats. It's one of the primary stats listed for the class.

For me, it is awesomeness. It's a hidden stat, but man is it huge. :P

I think the post above me is on the right track though. Next time I get an INT boost, (in the form of an item, or something else), I'll check and see if my power moves at all.

Crusader is wisdom AND strength I believe(STR+WIS/2)

This is so that the non-fighter types like erudites, high elves, etc. won't have more power than ogres, trolls, barbarians, etc. but due to their magically effinity they get a slight boost in power being a fighter that is magical vs a pure melee fighter. The more brawny races in turn get a slight loss in power for pursuing a fighter type that uses skills they aren't racial equip for although they'll still have power than a caster oreinted race on the path of the crusader.

I killed a guard last night and this is the description of the weapon drop I got...I'm not sure what class can use it, it's not sorcerers...crusaders maybe?
