DruidsFollow

Can someone explain to me everything about Druids? I know they are the only class withe the ability to change into animals, which to me is awesome. *The wolf is the bomb*

I also want to know what weapons they use, and the armor they wear, and what that armor looks like?Tell me the best race on stats, and if that doesn't matter, then we will leave it at that. Give me a run down on how much of a caster they are, and roles in a party, or if they end up being a really awesome solo class. Lastly, Druid has two other classes you can become once your level 20 or so right? What's the difference between the two?

Thanks to all who post, and I might be rerolling character to be Druid over an assassin.

Actually, when my Shaman becomes a mystic she will be able to turn into a bear. Or assume the appearance of a hawk.

They can wear very light and light armor if I'm not mistaken. Only the Cleric and Shaman subclasses can wear heavier. Templar/Inquisitors can wear heavy, and Mystic/Defilers can wear medium. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on that, folks.)

Druids are pretty cool. My guild has like 4 of them. I still prefer my shaman though. :)

Re: Subclasses - I haven't much information on the druid subclasses. I hope that one of the druids, furies or wardens will chime in. :)

Also, druids can't change into an animal until 20 (Fury/Warden). Then they can be either a Wolf or a Lion, depending on the job they go with.

I'd pick a Wolf at level 20 then. But Shaman you say? So basically they are Druids as well? How about weapons then? Shaman's best wep, druid weps, fury, and wardens?

Druids can use slash/hammer weapons and leather armor...

Their heals are mostly health over time heals as opposed to direct heals...They get damage shields (i.e. when a mob hits a target with the DS the mob takes damage)...They get decent AC/hp buffs

I'm only lvl16, but from what I gather the fury line is a more offensive oriented subclass and the warden line is a more healer type subclass...

We also get SoW (makes you run faster), but shamans probably do too...

Druids rule because they're nature people, and nature is the rulest my man..

Shaman aren't Druids. They are a completely different class.

You might want to check the class breakdown over at the main site and main forums. That's going to give you far more information than just asking us to provide it all for you.

You don't get to pick the animal form, by the way. If you go Fury, you get Lion. If you pick Warden, you get Wolf. But the animal form should be the last thing on your mind when choosing a class. There are far more important class defining skills. :)

I hope you find what you're looking for at those links.

Shamans and Druid differ in how they heal as well as their secondary job in a group (besides healer). Shaman uses wards to prevent damage and Druid has Regen spells which keep the tanks HP up. Shaman's secondary job is to debuff mobs. Druids secondary job is to buff the party members.
