A Question on the "Crafting" update issue, not a rFollow

I don't craft. I'm a harvester, that's my main source of income. Crafters buy from my merchant board to make their goods they sell. It's a win/win situation. Most crafters don't want to spend 3 or 4 hours harvesting, or can't go to the places I can to get their items perhaps because their skill isn't high enough or whatever.

Now, there's this big debate going on with crafting. I heard that now crafters can't sell their shiznit to NPC's, but I also heard it was only temporary until some things were fixed.

Some crafter please update me on this? I make around 1-3 gold a night on my harvesting wares. At this point the only other way I can see to make decent money is quest constantly or farm mobs for drops, which I'd rather not do when it's much easier to go harvest for 2 or 3 hours and then play the rest of my time I have to play.

Thanks in advance for the answer on what's going on.

Crafters can't sell their crafted items to NPCs at the moment. It shouldn't affect you though. All this means is that any crafted ingredients will have to be destroyed instead of sold that they don't use (i.e. Crude materials). It will be a minor inconvenience to crafters because every little bit of money helps.

It shouldn't affect you too badly though, because people will still need harvested resources to start the crafting process.

There is a design flaw that was allowing people to make 100's of PP by spamming the Provisioners trade skill and selling to a merchant.

The lock down of sales was to fix this, until a long term solution is found. I suspect you will see them re-evaluating the NPC purchase price of player created items. Players are meant to be selling to other players, and not to NPC's.

FYI, you can't sell mob drops to NPC's either (unless they came from a chest).

I can't???

Can't sell orcish meat and all that stuff?

OK I gotta log on and see that. I'll be a little upset if they did that. I mean....bleh.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's what they were fixing in the emergency hot fix just a bit ago.

Yeah, because I logged on and still sold like basic mob drops - a few meats and skulls- to NPC's just fine. Whew, that did scare me. You'd have a lot of angry people if they made it so you couldn't sell otherwise useless stuff like that to NPC's.
