I can't see this anywhere so I'd like some help.
I finally got a character to level 9 Artisan and he now gets "You cannot gain experience until you have done your class quest" messages.
All a search (SoE, EQTraders, Google etc)turns up is that you have to speak to the "Appropriate NPC" to progress to level 10. None of the specialised societies in my hamlet will let me in and I have hailed so many people the Guard are threatening me with an anti-stalking order.
I can see large numbers of people have done this so it can't be that hard. What am I missing?

I can't remember the guys name but head to Q harbor where the building is taking place (opposite the bell) and in the far corner of the huge workshop/warehouse/shed there is a little fella you speak to.
NOTE!! When you select your subclass, you will NOT ding. Repeat...NOT ding. You will need to craft one more thing, get some XP and then DING A LING! You're IT.

I only found the guy because my guildies told me where he was. And I don't know how they found him. Possibly some NPC text?

Without showing how green i am to tradskills i am wanting to get into alchemy..I am a lvl 9 and can not progress further either. Is this ironforge guy the guy i want to talk to as well?
