confused about classesFollow

first of all i have to ask if the AAxp is in eq2.. and what is the difference between the brigand and the assassin?
who is the closest to the rogue in old eq?

and then i heard that some players do get to max lvl in 2 weeks ( untwinked first character ) and not plvl.. is that possible?

then the enchanters. Do they both get the charm spell or is it even a spell anymore? .. and how does it work, i mean in old eq it depend on charisma but that isn't even a statt ..

heh .. i dun have the monny to test all of the mmorpgs and test out for myself ..

thanx BrillGert
old eq player

Assassin and Brigand are both DPS classes. Assasin does more spiked damage with large numbers and Brigand does more constant damage. Assassins big attacks are based on stealth/position and Brigands are mainly just positional.

No, nobody is getting to max lvl in 2 weeks. The highest Brigand right now on all the servers is lvl 40. You can't plvl people in this game either. Once you start fighting, you're locked and nobody outside of your party can assist you.

Coercer's (Evil Enchanters) get Beguile at lvl 37 which should be a charm type spell. Not so sure about Illusionist.

Which is closest to the old rogue in EQ depends on how you played your Rogue. If you LOVED to backstab then go with assassin, if you just liked backstabbing but also liked everything else about then you could go either way, and if you really didn't care about backstabbing at all except for the damage it allowed you to do then go with Brigand.

The maxed level in 2 weeks rumor applies to World of Warcraft, not EQ2. Many people have reached 60 in WoW, but nobody is really all that close to 50 in EQ2 yet. You can still level far faster than pre-Paludal Caverns EQ1 though.

illusionists dont receive a charm spell, that i know of.

the charm that coercers get is likely based on the casting skill for that spell category.

troubadours get a charm sort of thing, but charmed pets only follow the bard, and if told to do anything else, the charm breaks... so more a cc thing than anything.

enchanters are a bit different than in eq1, with more options to tailor your play style. effective dots, and targeted stuns, make for a nice enhancement of a class i've always enjoyed playing ;).

i play em all :).

you might look at the info on ClanWhiteStorm, to see if that will help. there's a pretty comprehensive list of abilities, and one of spells that might give you a better idea of the nature of the classes.
