Thexian Meeting FG Access QuestionFollow

#1 Dec 08 2004 at 11:45 AM Rating: Decent
I am a lvl 18 Crusader. I am at the part of the FG access quest where I need to go to the Thexian meeting to kill the boss. Can I solo this quest at 18? I only ask because I can't seem to find anyone to come help me.
Also, is there a way out of the instance other than getting killed? (so I can go in to see what I'm up against).
Can anyone point me to a guide on this part of the quest or offer some advice? (with a soloer in mind)

I dont think I would suggest soloing it at 18. A lvl 20 I think could solo it. You MIGHT be able to at 18 but I'm not sure.

And to my knowledge you can exit without dieing, but I don't remember if the mobs attack right when you zone in or not.

If you are (or anyone is) on the Butcherblock server and needs help - send me a tell. If I am not extremely busy (doubtfull I will be) then I should be able to help out.

At 18, they will all con gray and leave you alone, except for the final 3, which are green. The one tough one though, will hit you enough that you won't be able to solo it. Recruit a healer and preferably one other, and you will easily deal with it.

I tried to solo at 17 and died. Tried again at 18 and killed them all but died when opening the chest which sucked because I got the quest but none of the loot. It wouldn't let me back into the instance for my shard either.

Where you zone in there will be a door to your right. Once completed the quest NPC will be standing right by that door. Just speak to him to complete it.

Edit: As far as I know the door is selectable at all times to leave.

Ya, I was a Crusader at the time. It wasn't an easy fight, I spent all my power killing the main guy and one of his helpers (lotta Demonstration of Faiths and HO's mainly). On the last helper, I had to trade blow for blow since I didn't have any power left. Almost killed me.

Be very careful on that chest :) I med'd to 75% HP and it wasn't enough to save me.

Thanks all. I think I'll try soloing tonight. I'm going to see if I can track down some good quality food/drink so that my health / power regen faster first.
I assume that a shield / 1 hander are best to use when going up against such encounters (along with Knight's stance etc).

I assume also that if I exit the instance, I can return without having to redo any quest parts?

I did it the quest yesterday with with a 19 Crusader, and myself being a 17 shaman, without my healing she would have dropped... get a healer and you will be fine.
