Thanks for not answering my question... now does anyone else care to explain why so much attention on this site is applied to freeport and not Qeynos?

that could be a couple of reasons.
1 - you didn't submit enough quests
2 - other people didn't submit them
3 - Alla and da lads are busy getting other stuff in
4 - Alla and da ladies are lazy in bed, having fun

pick one ;)

This website is becoming a watered down version of a once great source of information. I guess all the money Allakhazam is making from the hundreds of popups is really going to their head.

It's actually a lot worse on other gaming sites. I won't mention them by name, but it could be that sick twisted people like to contribute the most information. =) The number of quests in all the areas as far as I have experienced is fairly balanced. I've played on both sides of the world. But is it just me, or is freeports side of things harder. I've been over there and on Qeynos (although we did go traitor *gasp*), I think Nektulos especially is more dangerous then TS... more shrouded and nasty. Anyhow. =) Kinda deviated from the topic at hand. Give things time guys, everything is still new. Maybe they are just doing things in spurts.

because we, Freeportian, work harder than you Qeynosian?

Funny, I feel like there are more Qeynos quests... And I am in Qeynos primarily.

Empiricus that was a really pathetic thing to say about this site. If you don't like popups then spring for a premium membership, you'll get full search facilities that way too.

Alla, I've got your back, don't listen to the ignorant sod Smiley: oyvey

As far as paying and lack of updates, considering a lot of us do pay for all this snazzy stuff, you would figure they would be above and beyond the free sites... Which isnt the case IMHO. Hopefully they will catch up. I always found them to be the best for EQ1.

I started in Freeport then moved over to Qeynos through betrayal quest, and the differences are really surprising. My impression has been that Freeport was almost an afterthought, just wasn't able to do as much there as hubby in qeynos, so they are probably adding cause the two sides were NOT equal at the release.

I've been trawling around in the quest section since the game was released, to see if i missed any good quests or anything... and for a long time there, there were way more posted quests for qeynos than Freeport... It's just catching up now, so you'll see a lot of updated freeport quests... why is that hard to understand?

Ya I would have to agree on some points, for the classes I've played, fighter/scout , i felt Freeport had more/better drops off mobs, and their quests also seemed to give nicer items. At the same time I felt there seemed to be more agressive creatures, and it felt more dangerous. One thing that I don't like about freeport is the individual races cities are very bland, quite a few are duplicate layouts of other ciites, and therefore it did seem more rushed. However this very well may have been done on purpose, as Freeport is more seedy and ... well evil. Another possibility is, that the actual "Freeport" area, which is the upper class, is nicer then Qeynos cities, bigger buildings, fancier I felt. But the lower cities were like slums. Kinda does give it that, overlord feeling doesnt it? Fat cats get rich off the working class and all that.

Freeport was being neglected. Question answered.

This site posts quests that people submit, so I don't think it's Allakhazam's fault that there are "more Freeport quests". For that matter, I don't think there ARE more Freeport quests than Qeynos, maybe there is, but it is not very noticeable.

The game has been out for a month, cut Alla some slack and submit any info you get that the site needs. And for Godsake, spring for a freakin' premium membership you cheapskate!

I have to with that. this is a nwe game, and Ally draws most of his data off of the submissions of the players.
It may just be that more FP players are submitting their data, or it may just be that that is what Ally and the team are working on right now.
Take heart, it will be done soon, this is just a stage of development.

The games been out how long and your complaining about lack of information? I guess u expect Alla just to wave a magic wand and after the smoke clears everything about EQ2 is listed on the site. =\

Hmmm...soooo someone from SOE is supposed to come here and explain in detail why there are fewer quests for Qeynos? What kind of explanation would a regular player have for this? The poster keeps asking why, but the only likely answer is that fewer have been submitted by readers. I can make up a story about why there are fewer quests I suppose.....

my solution has been to hail every npc, and examine every glowing item i see.

if i find something new, i send in an email (see the news item for how), with specifics, locs, and screenshots. that's how this works, being a user-supported operation :).

if nothing's sent in, nothing gets updated, and lllia and alla arent to blame, the users are.

guess what?! you're a user, too!

explore and discover! that's what the game's about :).
