One of my (many) character flaws, pun intended, is that I cannot play just one. So, I have a 18 warrior, 17 crusader, 17 sorcerer, and 15 summoner. I play solo quite a bit; my schedule often does not allow for several uninterrupted hours, and I don't want to be in a situation where I am relied upon and have to bail out. Anyway...
For soloing, I am finding the melee classes better suited to it, at least at the levels I am at. I enjoy playing both the crusader and the warrior, but am starting to notice a difference in their abilities that I just cannot explain, and was hoping to get some other input.
When they were both 17, I tried fighting the same critters with both, originally to see if my dual-wielding warrior could dish it out faster than my two-handed using crusader... which he can of course. Both have almost exactly the same AC; it was about 2 apart- 553 v 551. The crusader even had that slight edge.
But when it came to fights, the crusader would just get a super beat-down compared to the warrior. I even tried to lay off the Adept Mangle my warrior uses to try and remove the debuff aspect, and the warrior simply does not get hit as much. I am compensating for fight duration too. I can't explain it. Parry skills are the same, both were using their stance abilities (which were the same skill level)... what is going on?
