Quick question...Follow

Hey guys just had a few questions about EQ2. It's been a while since I played the first Everquest, about a year and a half, and what I was really wondering was how does it stack up to the first one. Also I had a ranger on the original and was wondering how they fair in the new release. Any other thought would be much appreciated.

It is a totaly new game, do not compair it to EQ1. :)

As for enjoyment, its hit or miss. I find the world to be much to small and have seen most of it within weeks, were in EQ1 you could play for a year and see only a small part.

The game over all is very enjoyable, I find down time to be trivial and its proving to be very enjoyable. Some very nice little additions have been added to make the game easier, but on the flip side crafting is a total pain now but at least more button mashing. ;)

Update:BTW In my view they made the Ranger a joke. They took tracking and gave it every type of theif/rouge/scout out there. So they minds well have just named them an Archer.

If you liked the original you will most likely enjoy this one even more. There are a few things that you may not like about it but overall the game is fantastic. I fell in love with the game very quickly and would recommend it to someone who liked EQ1.

I wish I could help you on your question about rangers but I've never played one in either game.

Thanks everyone. Also, what are these new classes I'm seeing like scout. Is that just a new thing for EQ2?

I think THIS LINK pretty much covers it.
