What is the point of humans?Follow

In EQL humans had an advantage in exp gain and they had the least troubles factionally. You could be a necromancer and not have to work too much to be tolerated in good areas.

Now in this game they have no bonuses, yet they are still mediocre. They don't look any better than any other character. It's not like you can change jobs or anything so there isn't any advantage to being well-rounded.

Oh, yeah, and they are blind at night to top it all off:)

Some people dont want to be lacking in one attibute while being pumped in another, it's just some people's style of play.

I would agree. humans were the same way in ffxi....well i guess they may have been best at pld but thats really it. and they were the most popular race. confused me. if your going to play a game, live a different life, be something different! dont be what you already are. Your a human all the time. why would you want to be human in a video game?

Not all of us are.

Playing a human is a nice change after watching you for so many years.

Humans and Barbarians have slightly higher base resists to compensate for their lack of a special vision.

I'm not a Paladin in real life...more of a rogue....Apart from that I quite like the 'look' of humans :)

Decent resists in all categories... :) Plus balanced decent stats... I'd actually be more likely to play them in EQ2 than I would have in EQL.

in FFXI humans were best at BST and BRD due to higher natural charisma, nice at RDM due to the jobs versatility, and they were pretty well decent at everything else, not great.. not bad.

anywho.. honestly I wondered that myself about Humans in EQ2.. but the stat to race ratio really only comes into play if you're min/max'ing your character for a particular class...

as far as physical appearance goes.. 1/2 Elves, High Elves, and Dark Elves will out-shine a Human every time.. but they're elves or elven lineage so that's to be expected.

now.. the blind at night thing.. sux.. suuuuxxxxx.. lol.

In that game you could switch jobs so being equal in everything was advantageous. In this game your stuck with what you got. And being well rounded is pretty much meaningless.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's stupid to be a human. Just that they seem to be lacking. I play a erudite brawler so I understand the concept of playing irregular combinations(although in this game race doesn't effect damage output). The thing is humans have no "place". There is no reason to play one. Not saying that people shouldn't. It's just that there is no practical reason to.

And of course I get rated down for stating my opinion:)
