I can't get this Artisan stuff!!!Follow

OK, first off I have my main maxed out to her current lvl in Fishing, Foresting, Mining, Gathering (73 FYI). Now I went to an NPC in Qeynos Harbor (on the docks) and told him I wanted to be an outfitter, and he certified me. I am a lvl 14 Preditor & lvl 3 Artisan. All the societies in my home city of Willow Wood kept telling me to **** off that they wouldn't let me in.

I went N Qeynos to the Ironforge Castle (may as well be a castle) and spoke to the cat in the basement. He keeps telling me to hunt for Rough Terquois, and I have done that 3 times now.

Finally my Question: Why won't any of the societies talk to me (yes I am trying the correct society in each city) and where can I get the supplies such as the Fossil stuff & Coal (fuel)???

Any help would be appreciated...

Not quite positive I am understanding you correctly but I'm going to try :)

First, you said you went to the Qeynos docks to be certified as an outfitter. As far as I know, you don't actually become anything other than your standard Artisan til tradeskill level 10. Kinda like the adventuring levels. That shouldn't have any affect on your problems though...

Secondly, from the tradeskill quest you describe, it looks like you are already a member of a North Qeynos tradeskill society. I've never used any of the societies in NQ before, so I'm not positive. But the turquoise quest you have is definitely a wholesaler quest. If indeed you do belong to this society, you can't join another. Not until you are level 10, then you can join a more specialized society as well. If you wished to join one of the societies in Willow Wood or Nettleville Hovel, for example, you'd have to talk to the NPC outside the society in NQ you belong to and ask you leave. That, or click the EQ2 button that defaults in the lower left hand side of your screen, and select societies. Find the one you belong to (its in light green), select it, and click Leave. Thats also a quick way to see if infact you do belong to that society in NQ.

As far as coal and supplies, much of it can be purchased within the society from an NPC who's usually downstairs, right against the stairs to be precise. He'll have wholesaler in his name.

I hope that this helps..i know, it's pretty jumbled and long. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask :)

Stashy is right. You wont actually become an OUtfitter until you hit level 10. Until then you will only have access to 'wholesaler societies' such as the one you are in now. As an outfitter I am a member of the Luminary cache in Starcrest as my wholesale guild and the Trident society next door as an Outfitter guild. (handy them being next door to each other).

I suggest getting downstairs in your wholesaler society and crafting away at elm boxes and backpacks until you hit level 10. It wont take very long at all. Then find an outfitter society(as I said trident in starcrest are one) and join them. You can be a member of an outfitter society and a wholesaler society at the same time.

The wholesaler society will have a vendor down the stairs who will supply you with all the basics you need at least until level 10. After that your recipes will start needing ingredients that are player made. These ingredient are fortunately available on the broker at the top of the stairs.

I hope that helps.
