Question About LevelingFollow

I was grouped with two friends the other day, all of us starting equally at 16 (just dinged the day before). Me (sorcerer) and the cleric got 17 at the same time, but the warrior was 40% behind us! How can that be? Are there different rates of getting xp for different classes?

This may be a stupid question, but did he have experience debt to repay for dying? I am asking this, because I die alot :) and in my exp bar, it will tell me the percentage of debt I need to repay before I can start gaining exp towards my next level.

No. We have pretty much been playing together so he could not have had that much of an xp debt more than any we had. Very strange.
