I played EQ for a Long time and really debated on even leaving but all in all I say it was a good move, Its really fun and more advanced than EQ but what I have noticed more in EQ2 is the effort SOE put into trying to get players to work together, In many ways I think its a good idea but the trade skills are really starting to get to me a little, for example when making iron weapons you have all the recipes you need in metalworking to make it except the pommel which is made by another trade skill proffesion, it is located in Scholar Essintials Volume 10, my guess is that they done alot of them that way to get all the crafetrs to work together, but so far all I have seen is people charging outrageous ammounts for things that others need just because they know they have to have it for the finished product, like ( and please excuse the bad spelling ) Eloith Temper, now i know it cant cost much to make that stuff but I see people selling that stuff for 5 sp each and to me thats a little crazy, now maybe im way out of line but thats really why i posted this here so I could here the opinions of others on this subject, So Ladys and Gentle men start your posts lol.

Just a little FYI that I learned today to make you feel a little better. ALL Crafters can learn the lvl 10 book of the other crafts. So now all you Carpenters and Outfitters can make your own Stroma wash, Eolith Tamper, ect....

Well I agree with the general principle that people sell items for WAY too much when they know it's in great demand. I have no qualms what so ever about pricing things higher than normal but when it costs maybe 60c to make Eolith (I know cause I did the lvl 10 Scholar book thing) but charge 3s a piece for it is plain wrong. But hey thats my opinion what do I know?

Supply and demand should, I would assume/hope, take over at some point.
If someone's selling an item for 5s with a 4s profit, I would expect someone else to notice, and try to sell the same for 4s to get the sale in; after which someone would sell for 3s to outsell the 4s item; etc. That's how it works in many other MMOs. But there is such a thing as cooperating to ***** the consumer (e.g., oil companies).
Rest assured, when I finally get this game, I will sell at a reasonable margin.
Speaking of reasonable margin -- what's the best tradeskill for money-making purposes? ;)
