Just wondering if anyone has been having any luck finding silver clusters or rough coral in the Commonlands. I have not had any luck, and have been mining a LOT! Like others have said, I think this is what has been driving the prices on Addept IIIs up :P

I was wanting to try to sell Addept IIIs at a reasonable price, but I am begining to understand why they are so expensive. It would be really hard to harvest for 3 or 4 hours or more to get 1 silver cluster or coral, and then turn around and sell the resulting skill for 30sp. But, I will try to keep it fair.

Any insight on how long it has taken you to get one of these precious resources, please let me know! Thank you!

No silver or coral yet. While uppin' my skills in a newbie zone (Oakmyst or Forest Ruins) I did mine a copper (rare) out of some sort of a rock (sorry I forgot to write down which kind). Copper is used to make the ink for the tier one adepts.

Other posters say silver and coral are just insanely rare. Keep runnin around mining and you *might* find one. Sigh. Or you might get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

I got my other piece of copper off the broker. Someone was selling it for 5s! I snatched it up fast.

I would suggest not going out and trying to find silver or coral - you'll go nuts. Just mine every rock node you see - and maybe adventure in an area where you've noticed a higher ratio of rocks to other stuff - and hope you get lucky. But solo stuff or run quests while you mine. It helps to keep you from going nuts. And search the broker all the time. You never know. A player who has not been reading these boards might not know what they are worth, even now, and might just unload em cheap. Again, I found a copper two days ago for 5s - and it's normally for sale for several gold minimum - so it can happen. GL!

I have been harvesting more than 20+ hours during the last week, and have not seen nary a one. So they are pretty darn rare, I may never get one at this rate.

But someone else might be luckier than me.

I feel like such an idiot lol. I got a coral when I first started harvesting in the Commonlands (tier II area), and threw it away, because Ihad no idea what it was lol.

I couldn't see a copper going for several gold. Not even adept IIIs go for several gold. 2gp is the norm, even down to 1gp50sp depending on what it is.

Well, I will keep at it, and I have put my guild on the lookout for it, too!

Gold for copper is silly - but that is what everyone was selling it for. Adept 3 at tier one just isn't that good.

Five silver seemed about right for copper (that was what I paid for one - the other copper I have I mined). I'm going to up my second healing spell to Adept 3 most likely. Only problem is that I don't have the two rare books needed to make the copper into the special ink... heh.

Geez you were lucky - I sold mine lapis lazuli for 60s each and the only coral I had for 1g - people are desperate so they pay a lot now

here's a link that tells you where to find stuff. Note: rare harvests seem to be VERY rare.
