I will be purchasing EQ2 in a few days and was wondering about some things?

1) Do the servers and zones seem very crowded? Seems alot of hype went into this game and wanted to be able to enjoy it while being able to move.

2)Since no beastlord was added(><), was wondering if shaman is my next best choice? Just want to know if any shamans are enjoying their class.

3) Just built a computer with some of my old components. Was wondering if my Video card would still be able to hold up? (GForce4 Ti4200 128mb)

Thank you for any help that can be giving!!

the zones are HUUUGEEEE so even if there is many people in them, you wont be bothered. Also the cities are ginormous so the crowding shouldnt be a problem. The only issue i can tell as of now is that the video card your using wont hold up well vs the lag factor. If you dum the graphics down alot you should be cruising

I can add my 2 cents on the zones. Zone size is no longer a problem. What they did was quite ingenious, they took a zone and duplicated it. For example.. you are going from zone A to zone B. While crossing into Zone B you receive a prompt to enter B1, B2, B3, B4 etc. If a zone is too crowded you might only get choices B1, B2, and B4. That was very nice as it kepts too many people from going to a certain zone, and it also helps if you have to attack a certain NPC, if one zone has several people waiting for it to pop, you can go to B2, B3, etc and try there.

As far as the classes is concerned I have only tried a Priest/Druid so far, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

YOu might want to look into a mage as not only do they still have pets and almost any class can melee at least up to 15.
