Monks Tanks Or DDFollow

Both, and very good at both.

You want DD upgrade your skills... you will see DD, you want tank again upgrade your skills, those like martial focus etc. Get a shaman to be your healer, Wards ROCK, and brawlers are the best damnned tanks around.

For DD or tank would also help to have up to date equipment

also rember to use your stances staggering and brawlers when tanking thundering and fiery when DD, staggering also as it does add AGI, jus dont do it on the MT... as that defeats purpose of a main tank.

Monks tank by avoiding damage, similar to how the shamans are healers by preventing the damage in the first place.

The point of a tank is to take aggro and be able to survive it. Not getting hit is one way of surviving aggro - so its no different than the plate wearing Pallies.

Alot depends on strategy - each of the subclasses has its best way of doing things - of course skills help the most.

For example - a brawler class combined with a shaman who has slows against a single large target who hits hard may do better than plate tank partnered with a cleric.
