ffxi to eq2Follow

whenever i played ffxi...i would try to group with japanese players because they stayed in groups longer, played to benefit entire party, rarely went afk, etc etc. most american players would try to get mostly japanese members in their party because they knew they were just better players. once a group was made...that was your group for half the day. if there was a bad player in the group...they would rather keep the bad player for the next 6 hours than replace him. one time the japanese memembers waited for an american player to come back from afk for over an hour. the american player was tired...didn't want to leave such good xp...and took an hour nap...

now that i started eq2...there's no japanese players. so what are groups like now? usually someone would have to leave once the group started. some would leave after 1 death. some drop because they don't feel like going along with the other 5 memembers and felt their needs should be met first. when making a group...rarely do people wait for more members longer than 15 min. i've seen alot of people leaving once their own quests were finished and not stick around to help the rest of the group memembers finish theirs. i've never been in the same group longer than a couple hours because they would just drop like flies. the only good thing i could think of when grouping with american players is that i can have conversations with them.

the different playing styles seem to reflect our cultures. japanese culture emphasizes cooperation and loyalty. american culture emphasizes individualism. anyone ever take asian history or econ classes? they say the one reason why 2% of americans own 90% of our wealth is because of individualism and americans are more willing to push others out of the way to get ahead. they say the cause of japaneses' booming economy is because of cooperation...they would work hard not for a raise...but to benefit the entire company. japanese also places high emphasis on respect...but it seems like american culture respects rebels and goofballs like eminem and and da guys in jackass.

this is just sad. next time u feel like playing eq2 but have work in a couple hours...maybe you should just solo or at least let the group know? after u're finished with your quest...please help those that helped u finsih it. death is part of the game...stop moaning about it and blaming the party.

lol not everyone liked partying with jp people.. mainly cuz they thought the parties would lack communication.. but I speak both japanese and english so that really didnt matter to me.. also, I like the EQ2 groups. They hardly ever "grind" and usually its just a bunch of friends or strangers having fun doing quests. So its like a whole new way to look at groups, but in my opinion its better then FFXI's six hour groups. As for the rude people, I hate em to :\.. specially the ones who say "help me and i'll help you" and then leave after their quest is complete.. or the ones that dont even say hi....... maybe cuz the chat box is always flooded.. but I read chat on the screen on the bubbles. :-D yeah.. nothing more to say..

I donno why you wanna chat when fighting a mob. if you are a good player, you know what to do and what not to do.

DONT TALK! DO IT!
